So I want to know if you all agree this is true or not. I was thinking about this and I for one have to agree. I mean most of the best things in my life were free. Take my dog for example. He was free and I love the little bastard to death (even though he pisses me off now and again). And alot of my favorite clothes have been free (granted not all of them) I mean the best clothes are the ones that dont fit your friends anymore and their like "oh this would look great on you". But maybe that only happens to me.... And for the most part alot of the best raves I have been to have been free. And my two best friend were both free although I have spent money on them....and been stuck with them my whole damned life (just kidding girls you know I love you) =)
So whats the best thing in your life that has been free??

If you are talking about free in a capitalistic way then yes the best things in life are free, but if you consider it from a noncapitalistic stand point....nothing is free. Every thing has some sort of price attached to it. And emotional, physical, possesional, you have to give some thing to get anything. A piece of yoursel, work something. Most of the time those things that are great and don't cost any money usualy require a higher payment of some other sort, higher then we want to pay, espesialy when the investment runs out...ok i think that didn't sound the best it could have but i'll leave it at that.

nothing is "free".
Anything you accept, own, trade, create, or try to pass off on someone else is loaded with responsibility.

You have no clue. What are you talking about?
Please define for me, what is "free in a capitalistic way"?

Im pretty sure by capitalistic he means money wise. And yeah thats pretty much what I meant. Whats the best thing you've gotten for free, for example, you have not paid for with money or traded something for. Sure everything comes at some price. Say friends you would think they were free right?? I know I never paid someone to be my friend. But there is an emotional price (at times). Say you friend hurts your feelings. They tax you emotionally. Or say you get something new and exciting for Christmas or your birthday and it breaks. You didn't pay for it but the fact that it broke makes you sad and again your paying for it emotionally.
Psyduck I think you took my just a LITTLE to literally. After all it was just a question.

I know it sounds cheesy, but friendships are often free, and mine are very important to me.

Exactly!
From a capitalist stand point.. we trade freely amongst each other, deal with one another as equals with voluntary exchange of our trades for mutual benefit.
From a non capitalist stand point.. we are individuals who must sacrifice what is ideal to each and every one of us for the greater good.

Hehe.. I almost put that in my post but I quickly thought about it and realized it's not.
Sex isn't free, only masterbation is free sex. Sex with a partner requires mutual consent.

my point of view is....what is going to matter when i die???
not the car i own, or the big house i have, or the fancy watch i wear, not the swiss bank account. none of that malarky matters.
what matters is the lives i have touched and those who have touched me.
people tend to make the silliest things important, money is only paper and possesions are not going with you to the afterlife.(unless your egyptian) people need to focus more on people, life, experience, love, and spirit.
we forget how much things like that truly matter<3

I want your money..

That's right your money
(that's.... what I want)
