if there is ANYONE out there who would know where i can find this song on vinyl i would greatly appreciate it...I can't find it anywhere! I can't quite figure on who its by...its by one of these 3 Charlie Eon, Dj Eon, or just plain Eon....

charlie eon/dj eon is my friend Charlie Eon. Most likeel you downloaded a mix of his with that song on it.

Dune samples are used in many many trance tracks out there.


I have 3 different record with Dune movie samples in it.

One Eve record, One arrakis record, and the astral projection track. All with the dune movie samples in it but im guessing charlie probly spun the eve record or arrakis one in his mix.

Does the arrakis track have that whole sample in it?? I thought it was just a couple words. But yea, Dune has to be the most sampled movie in electronic music.

Yes it is on vinyl, but you should be more specific since i bet there are at least 10 different songs with dune samples on them on vinyl!


The song you heard was either the Eve record(eve 3 i believe) or arrakis - the spice. Both of which i have at home if you want the catalog # to order it, let me know. The eve record should be not hard to order and if you want contact i know someone @ eve who can ship it to you from their back catalogue. The arrakis record will probly be harder to find since it came out in 97/98'

Ok it wasn't the Arrakis track cause i have that one too.... as far as I know...and as specific as i can get here...is that i was told the track name "the spice must flow" if ya want i can just send the song file to ya...and you can tell me if you recognize it....thankyou for the help! Let me know if you would be able to do this

I have it with the whole album--Void Dweller by Eon. I think I also have it on a Megamix 12" with Mea Culpa by Enigma, and some other track.

It's on Vinyl Solution (UK) and came out in 1990.

STORM22 c.1990 Eon - Spice - Has three mixes of Spice including the J. Saul Kane remix (Depth Charge/DC Recordings guy)

STORM45 c.1992 Eon - Void Dweller - Has just the original mix on it. full album.

There were also remixes:

STORM27 c.1991 Eon - Inner Mind/Spice - Has one version available on the original 12" plus 2 versions of Inner Mind.

STORM54 c.1992 Eon - What is music - Has the Juan Atkins Spice remix "lo power mix". Not the original but still good.

And the follow up to Spice was Fear: The Mindkiller which also sampled Dune. Pretty cool too.

STORM33 c.1991 Eon - Fear: The Mindkiller - Has three mixes of Fear.

As far as where to get it, I have seen it on ebay now and again. www.htfr.com (http://www.htfr.com) might be able to help though they aren't the best for service. You may also call up SonicGroove in NY at 212-675-5284. If all else fails, I have seen these records show up around town when you least expect it ; )

it was released on r & s records i believe in 1991-1992.

That track is by EON, not me, I actually changed my name to Eon because of EON. EON is what got me into techno in the first place. I just don't want to take ANY credit for the PHAT=ASS beatz o' EON.
