View Full Version : banning people that overboard on the "in before the lock" bullshit

yeah...
I think it's fucking annoying.
Fucking 14 year old piss ants looking for ANY reason to up their fragile egos with an "in before the lock" message, to be that first one to post that almighty phrase of large-cock-ness.

It was fine in the beggining... really... I think I might of even said it once or twice...
but lately, it's just gotten rediculous... again, people look for ANY reason to post it. Regardless of weather or not the original post was truely worthy of being locked. So, ironically, it's the "in before the lock" that then conotates the need for an "in before the lock" and a resulting lock, as once these fuck heads start posting, whatever the initial thread was about no longer matters as the piss ants rile eachother up.
For real.
I say, go... count how many (first hit, not the consecutive sheep) "in before the lock" posts you can find that are actually, truely worthy of being posted, and then compare that to the number that are posted blindly without any regard to weather or not the post deserved to be LOCKED (or even just MOVED for that matter)...
it's rediculous. it's like 2:1.
worst of all, it's WASTING SPACE. I bet there's been more "in before the lock" posts made today than all the words in my rambling post here.

So I propose... all those who make a habbit of always, in any circumstance, posting "in before the lock" be banned... or at least have their accounts/IPs put on hold for a week or two... just to even out the Bandwidth flow that is oh-so-prescious here.
I acknowledge there are "justified" "in before the lock" posts, but really now,it's gotten rediculous.

eh. annoying perhaps, but i think it's just being goofy. banning for it is not a realistic or appropriate reaction IMHO.

yeah - it *is* annoying as hell, stupid, and doesn't contribute anything meaningful to a thread - but if that's the criteria used to ban people, then there would be only about 25 of us left.
it's just an unfortunate reality.

Nah.
I think banning someone for a failed attempt at being witty and original is a little extreme.

good subject, Jesi.......

Indeed it is horribly annoying. Im not sure banning is the best idea, considering it would take up lots of time, and these people are getting away with posting like this because we cant watch everything *all* the time anyway........
so yah.....

I think I am going to go make a post about this :)

I use it to throw out random shit that I wish I could spurt out at work but can't at that moment. It IS just people being goofy. Lighten up. Do you take the board so seriously that you get upset over things like this? Why don't you get upset about the racist remarks and degrading comments made all the time. Wow, and I thought I had no life...............;)

banning indeffinetelly isn't the only option... just something... on a *FREE* message board like this, there should be repurcussions against those that abuse it. imho, I think cutting someone off for a couple weeks to find other sources of mindless entertainment would be grand...
maybe we should start a thread on possible repurcussions against people that abuse the message board...? and if that cuts down the membership to a small percentage of people who can use it responsibly, SO BE IT.... otherwise, I'm willing to pay a couple bucks a month for a structured community, would you?

mchll888 - exactly.

Definately.....but not when they are being extreme in their abuse likesome of the board whore spazzes are....seems obvious to me; if someone sees it going on, do a search on the people doing it and if they seem to like doing it, warn em and watch em n if it happens more spank em a little with an identity ban for a few weeks then if....

and if that cuts down the membership to a small percentage of people who can use it responsibly, SO BE IT.... otherwise, I'm willing to pay a couple bucks a month for a structured community

Me too;)

Yes, I did start it. At least on this board.

But unlike everyone else, I didn't use it at the end of every post. Let's blame the general public for being sheep, and completely ruining the "In be-fo tha lock!" phenomenon.
