Wow, was it just me or did the Ohm felt like the basement at a bumpin house party on Sat? This was my first time seeing Garth and I wasn’t sure what to expect, I mean there is a lot of hype about him and the Wicked Crew as a whole and after what I saw Sat. night it is I see why. I figured I was in for a night of solid house music (didn’t read the reviews of the Seattle set till after), but when he dropped “Double Dutch Bus” I knew I was in for a treat…talk about some genre bending…lots old school funk, 80’s, house and Dub…put together in a flawlessly mixed set…a great night all around. Big up the Zion’s Gate crew for being a bunch of drunkards and having an ear for quality music…you guys always bring it correct.

I gotta say what impressed me the most besides the music was the actual set up on the dance floor. I was very glad they cleared out all those tables and chairs, people need room to groove when the music moves em ya know? I showed up early and had to leave early unfortunately (finals...finals...finals... ). But overall I had a great time...
Your right about that bassement feel...it was very very cool.
Peace,

I didn't show up until 3 a.m., because
I was elsewhere downtown until then...
...but despite the hour, Garth really made me dance, so hard
that my shoe rubbed a hole in my sock.
I do believe I even saw some hands in the air at 5 a.m.!
I was really impressed not only with his impeccable mixing,
but also the range and depth of tracks that
he played so smoothly one right after the other.
dubby house, tribally house, classic tracks from the early '90s, deeper house, "electroclash"-ish tunes.....
