As we long desparately for another summer, Miguel Migs gave me a glimpse. Such making the crowded and hot dance floor seem appropriate. So many great peoples!

Thanks to John (MINTY) and Ramiro (Uniting Souls) for pulling this amazing night together.

Within the fairly saturated market of deep house, Miguel Migs is truely one of a kind.

It always makes me smile when multiple nights go off in a scene that is so small that it sometimes struggles to support itself

I don't know about you guys.. but this night was especially fresh. (So I thought.) Miguel spun a lovely set. Nothin beats a little deep & sexy house! Plus the energy in the room was great. I couldn't stop dancing!

The only thing that I disliked was the fact that it was a swetbox, someone spilled their drink on my jacket, & stage hoes kept bumpin' into the tables.

I hear he really goes off when he's performing with Lisa Shaw. That is something that I just can't wait for.

Oh yeah, I pulled a fresh poster off the wall....

To bad this show was A. same night as Oakey and B. at Re-bar; other words I would have liked to have attended this.

the last couple hours (1:00-3) were great because the bulk of the crowd left by then and there was good dancing room. before that though, it was out of control. it was all still very worth it!

there was a great vibe that whole night though, and jon lemmon and wesley were great as well as miguel.

You know every once in a while you go out and you’ll run into that guy who has obviously had way too much to drink, and when they talk to you they’re so incomprehensible that you just smile nervously, nod and walk away as soon as possible…well I got to be that guy Sat. night.

After driving thorough torrential rains, dealing with stupid drivers and taking an ill-advised nap, I ended up at Re-bar around 9:00pm thinking I would have a hard time getting in. Luckily that was not the case. I found out Miquel Migs wasn’t going on 12:30 so I proceeded to sit at the bar and drink…2 hours and way too many drinks later I decided I’d better start dancing before I got carried out of there. This wasn’t too hard of a feat considering John Lemmon and Wesley Holms were both laying down the smooth chunky funky tracks.

By the time Miquel got on the place was packed, but there was enough room in the front to actually be able to dance so it was cool. His set was exactly what I had expected, deep, sexy and soulful. I got to talk with him a few minutes after his set…really chill down to earth guy. In fact I saw several people slip him things to autograph while he was playing and he signed with a smile, I would have expected at least a dirty look.

Minty, Uniting Souls, and Viva (although I don’t know if they had anything to do with this particular show) deserve mad respect for brining some of the phatest House headz to the Northwest…you guys are one of the few things that makes me jealous of kids living in Seattle.

(BTW, I know I talked to a few people Sat. night and if by some coincidence you’re also on the board I was the guy in the big floppy hemp hat and blue shirt, so if I made any disparaging comments about your mother, proposed marriage/sexual relations, or said anything else inappropriate I apologize…Peace.)
