i had a blast last night! great vibe, great music, plenty of room to dance.
I stayed the entire time! i couldn't believe it, i danced my ass off!
it was nice seeing some different styles in MC's although i must admit Garret still rocks the fucking house, he always gets me going and i just can't stop!

bad thing i couldn't really breathe, the fan was a nice touch but it could have been better.

yeah i really like the new look of the Spot, it very very nice!

overall i give this event a B+...

sound was good, no real problems during the night...

all the djs did a good job...

setup in the main room was awesome....

i was totally diggin the warfare vibe going on...

however i must make one complaint...

VENTILATION - you cant pack that many people in the venue and not have any ventilation. there was one fan blowing hot air from the second room into the main room, that is not ventilation. i was seriously choking in there. the decorations were awesome but next time invest in some more fans. i wont go back there until that gets fixed....

Awww yeah! I went knowing that I'd be exhausted if they had my two favorite locals and I was totally right... Ryle's set was absolutely amazing! I loved it!!!

Then there was Victor, who played one of the coolest sets I have seen in a long time! Aaaah, he rocks so hardcore (even though he's officially the world's biggest cheeseball ;)) !!! I wish I could have danced more during his set, but I think I was probably declared legally dead for about five minutes. I don't know if it was the heat (which was absolutely horrible- I haven't been in a venue that hot since the Northgate Theater back in August) but I thought I was gonna die... I would have left if hadn't been for my multiple eargasms! ;) I personally think the heat was intentionall... 'cause I saw quite a few girls running around in just their bras... Mission accomplished! ;) :p

The only downside (other than the hellish temp) was that poor Reekoh got sick!!! On his LoveTribe debut, too... :( I hope you feel better, buddy! *Hugs and kisses and chicken soup*

i dunno... i was not expecting to see that many people there. it was kinda annoying. fuck the police and the damn sound "polution" laws i blame them for the heat problem. if the doors coulda been opend it woulda been hella better. got better later in the night when peoplke left but i think most the good music was between like 12-3. get rid of the smelly stairs and that venue is on its way

i got there about 1:15 to see lots of kids jammin out and dealing with the vomit laced cloud of humidity. the side room was worse, but the main room still had the funk of 1000 ralphs. speaking of the main room, i was diggin the decorations, very nice fencing.

BUT

That was fun shit. Like the kids were outta hand in that side room. Everyone despite the heat was in good moods. Kinda reminded me of the old days for a minute.

Like right now, lots of the kids are newbies and they just wanna have fun. And have yet to become jaded, which is cool.
Hopefully this shows that Groups like Das Beben, Next Level, Lovetribe and the new blood of the scene are ready to rip the torch out of the hands of the old crews and do something new with seattle.

I just wanted to give a shout-out to all who made my experience last night an awesome one! I was a little hesitant to go to a DNB party sporting candy, but you all were fucking open-minded enough to open yr arms up and be nice to an out-of-towner candy kid!!!
If anyone I met is ever around the Portland area, you should hit me up and we'll go to a party and I'll show you around the city. Portland parties are really different than Seattle parties... variety is good!

ugh, i could barely keep up with the party!! I thought i could hang, but i only lasted till about 2:30 when the heat and my own fever told me to go to bed!!!! (Wassup, we all keep passing around the same cold from back in September i believe....)

I also enjoyed the newbie vibe, it was much needed, always uncomfortable at first, but change usually is for me,..... i end up making neato new friends however, once i let my guard down!!!

Music was good, but considering my head felt 3 feet thick to begin with...i couldn't really stay into it for very long.....i enjoyed the energy however.

I can speak for the set before Rinse. there were a couple of stopped rex while Steve and I were manning the mixes. These weren't done because of laziness or lack of skills, but because of some serious tech difficulties we both ran into... like the turntables dropping 6 inches in one corner after the cable gave out, the monitor overheating and two different needles crapping out.

just one of those things happening is some serious shit for a DJ to cope with while trying to maintain a dancefloor, not to mention ALL of them occurring in ONE set.

no lame excuses here, i've been DJing too long for that. just some knowledge for the kids that may not have noticed the mini-nightmare that was unfolding behind the decks during our set.

And big respects to Dirty Steve. He kept a rekkid playing while Siddie held up the turntables and he cranked the cables back into place. That's fucking professional in my book. He took charge and fixed the situation.

Well when there is no ventalation for all the airborne viruses and bacteria to flow out of, it recirculates through everyones lungs. I lost my voice that night and I still cant find it. I think I left my voice there too, ddaayyyaaammn.

This was one of those parties that makes you happy for days on end. Yes, it was freakin' hot, but those who loved the music survived. I was in the side-room nearly all night long, dancing so hard I swear people probably thought I was high. :-) It was worth it. Aaron Simpson got me moving, Ryle rocked as always, Wheelz...that's when I thought I would pass out. (But it was awesome meeting so many people who love him just as much!) hmmm no the heast was really bad that night. now just have random time when the sprinkler system comes on only over the dance floor.hehe mgiht be interesting anywho i showed up before it started and stayed till the end and chated with vic right before i left. the heast wasnt an issues when aaron hit the tables. from then on out it was just dancin and feling the music. best event at the spot i been to yet. thanks everyone cant wait to see you at face off2 and loveshack
