Ha! If we can't impeach a President for sexual misconduct we can't impeach one for anything else. Do you think you can actually make it to the office of president without having enough unwavering political support to make sure any impeachment attempt fails utterly?
He would have to do something obviously wrong for both parties to agree, and even then it's up in the air.

No I don't.
Although I thought there might be a few anti-war enthusiasts on this site who would like to look at the info.

Do you even know what impeach means? Impeach simply means to charge the president with a crime, not convict
Clinton WAS impeached, but not for sexual misconduct. He was impeached for lying under oath (also known as PURGERY).
He was never convicted of it, but he was impeached.

Interesting .. so what shall we charge him with?
Thought crime? Daring to think there are other approaches to problems than the approaches some may favor?
This should be an interesting lesson for someone. What exactly has he done that rises to an impeachable offense?
What has he done other than favor an approach to something some others dislike?
What is more offensive-
His approach or people believing he should be impeached for thinking the way he does?
Interesting.

Ha! You're so right, I'm a complete retard.
Hehe, chalk one up to my not thinking again. :D
As for the issue of why he was impeached, I tend to disagree. As I recall the purgery that he allegedly committed had to do with his sexual relations that I feel shouldn't have even been brought up in the first place...but that's just my $0.02

so the president got his knob polished by an intern...big deal he still did a damn good job as president and is by far one of the best public speakers in the world with some damn good ideas on how to develop a global community.

Sorry, but impeachment is the route taken by those that didn't try hard enough around election time.
I knew Bush was going to be an asswipe: thusly, I didn't vote for him. I, however, did very little to convince others to do the same, therefore I'm stuck with this asshole in office, and I have to deal with the decisions he and his cabinet make.
You want to do something? Wrte a letter to your legislator, and pray to whatever deity you favor.

Well people will go round and round about that for the next decade.
It wont be until people have emotionally removed themselves from the subject that they will objectively view of the Clinton Presidency. That will take time.
What will be interesting is in 10 years everything the FBI collected on him that the house members were allowed to see will be released to the public. (remember all those boxes)
Everyone that chose to go through the material voted to impeach. Democrats and Republicans alike.
Most of the house democrats refused to even look at the material.
What I wonder about - regarding the senate not convicting- Was it a matter of them wimping out by framing the presentation of evidence in the Senate the way they did?.. assuring there would not be enough votes. Was it just a matter of party line voting ensuring there would not be a conviction? -or- Was the information so damning & disturbing that upon public presentation it would not only tank Clintons Presidency but - because of the effect on the publics perceptions - it could adversely damage The Office Of The President?
What I do know is that if I were President and I was out to get some "strange" I'd definitely NOT be playing hide the cigar with something that looked like Monica Lewinski. In Fact that should have been an impeachable offense.

I bet he remebers one box in particular. he he.
anyway, are you sure about that Mike? I though Georgie-porgy had extended presidential secrecy indefinately pretty soon after he come into office, oh, and extened it to vice presidents, oh, and just in time to save his fathers arse from some sort of major embarrasment.

Not Sure on that Boyd. Cant see how he could but.. hell who cares... In 10 years we'll all be bitching about someone else anyway.
Sometimes I think one has to be a masochist deep down inside to want to be President of this Country.
Hell 2 years into the deal ya got a full head of gray hair. And no matter what you do at least a hundred million people are gonna be pissed at ya.
and that's the upside... ;)

Shit.. I just got your box joke.. duh. hehehehe .. good one.

what, by crediting him with being a good public speaker is like saying "well, he was a great bowler". there are lots of good bowlers. just as there are lots of great speakers...that isn't reason enough to set him apart as a great pres. I think he was shitty. talk about leading by example...he only leads to the moral degredation of our country....he sends the message.."hey its ok to fuck around on your wife, and while your at it...might as well lie about it, to the entire county on television." I am entitled to my opinion just as you are. peace.

That is rediculus, it shouldnt have been brought to the publics attention in the first place. I would have lied about it just as everyone else i know would have lied about it aswell. Plus Clinten brought our economy from the dumps that GB sr. left it (and were GB jr is taking it again) to the most prolific economical time we have seen as a country. Not only that but he was the first president to balance the budget in over 3 decades lol lets see Bush jr even spell "budget" LOL. Oh yeah Clinten also made it possible for new college students to get a Stafford load regaurdless of credit history i could go on and on but i think my biggest argument is this...
The world and the US in particular did not have the worries, stress, economical downfall, and constitutional disreguard (patriot act) that we see now 3 years after GB jr took office.
To blame these problems on clinten as most of the conservative republicans have (included the rightwing news discussers mostly found on fox i.e bill oriley) is upsurd and dumb. If i dont keep my backyard clean its my fault when i trip over a box of garbage not the companies fault that made the box.
Just a thought!

Why make excuses for immorality? I appreciate your opinion. But every president does SOMETHING worthwhile in office. But I see the influence on the public as 3/4 of what the president is. isn't he supposed to represent us? if president clinton is an accurate representaion of our society, then I am worried. Plus, you said that you wouldn't admit to cheating, well, think about it, would you even put yourself in the position to lie about that in the first place? You go fucking around on your wife? Peace.

He is supposed to represent who we are. That's why so many people get mad at the idea of Clinton being vilified for his behavior. In his actions they see themselves. And in hearing people judge him negatively for his actions they hear themselves being judged as such for actions they have committed or would...or have no problem with.

yea i not too much worried about a president that has an affair with an intern or even secretary for that matter just as long as it doesnt involve me, but i am worried about a president that is trying to be a big shot and do what his daddy did, and to further my point i didnt like what his daddy did and i knew this was gonna happen again.
i would have picked clinton again over bush once.

WE dont elect a president to represent our country on the counterary we are not out there to please other countries or n e thing like that our presidents job is to make sure that our way of life and our presuit of happiness are not rev0ked and that america continues to be a great and safe country to live in. Extra marrital affairs have nothing to do with the job discription of a president. Is he supposed to be our poster child or what? just a thought peace!
