First off, just a question, what is tagging?
I went to Water last night and had another great night. I am actually very suprised I had such a good time considering the DJs were about a 3. High Society played one of the phattest songs Ive ever heard. It reminded us of being monopoly pieces on the computer game with perfect ding dong candyland music kickin us from side to side, definitly the best groove of the night. Did anyone else hear that? It was at the small stage to the right if your standing at the main stage.
This was not the "pre-millenium massive" I was hoping for. Couldn't have been more than 2-3000 kids. We met alot of great people anyways. I took one Molly like normal and rolled perfectly through time. We had the pink blanket down at the rear of the main dance area. Somehow our blanket turned into hempfest which is always cool considering there were no cops to be found anywhere. They did a great effect by having some smoke be lit from the way back of the party and the wind blew it out to sea about 20 feet above our heads while some tingly trance freaked us all out. Truly stunning. I had to dance all night because if you didnt it got quite cold, even if you stopped for 10 minutes. From 3:30-5:30 they played some nasty dark acid trip shit on the main stage that I thought sucked. So we just went to the jungle hut and wiggled for a long time. Overall a 6 mostly because of the DJs. Sunrise over Baker was amazing though. Thanks to everyone(Katie,Nysreen,Wayne,Klum,Roj,etc.) who made my night a great one.
Peace and love abound.

tagging/writing is slang for graffiti...

kim's on the right track but to be more specific...

tagging is the marking of one's "name" on things using markers or spray paint or stickers... it's illegal.

graffiti however, is more of a general term that applies to art and "non-art" on walls and public spaces, it can be either legal or illegal...

I welcome additional mutations to this definition.

Tagging is just scrawling your "tag" or moniker on garbage cans and whatever else is available, and writing is using spraypaint or airbrush to make a "piece" or a bubble letter drawing that spells out your "tag".
Taggers are out for fame and are not interested in art, the writers are into getting famous, but also the art.
