Yeah .. strange isnt it how it was said this was going to be the case but *certain* people dismissed it as propaganda.

Gosh ya know what would be really strange is if they found some of the WMD that *certain* people say arent there.

Now THAT would really be somthing out of the twilight zone...

gee willikers - you know what's really strange? rumsfeld's comment On Wednesday Donald Rumsfeld, the US defence secretary, said the coalition had solid evidence that senior al-Qaeda operatives have visited Baghdad in the past.

Rumsfeld said Saddam had an "evolving" relationship with the terror network.

could apply to his visit with saddam as well!

and i will wait until i hear it in a more reliable context than "some british soldier said some random iraqi pow said...."

You dismissed the source of the story -"some British soldier said some random Iraqi pow said...."

And you'll most likely dismiss the story when it comes out that the pentagon confirms al qeada is there - cause its the pentagon and every leftist (properly indoctrinated) knows they lie...

What will you need to convince you... A picture of some f*ck wearing a black sheet and a dirty towel on his head with a sticker that says "hi I'm Abdul with al qeada" on his breast?

wrongarooni, mike...

i took issue with the presentation and content of the story, not its source...i would question such a report (so and so said so and so said) regardless of who issued it.

have you so quickly forgotten the hype surrounding the HUGE CHEMICAL WEAPONS FACILITY they found?

Hype.. I must of missed all the fun.. I read that they found a huge chemical manufacturing facility (that the UN inspectors were oblivious too...imagine that) AND that it may have produced chemical weapons and that it DID produce an Iraqi general.

I'm not going to get all excited when they do find em because most of you folks are going to find some reason not to believe whats being said to maintain that political facade you cling to and keep right on hatin on dubya

I'll believe it when there's some solid documentation. Same with the chemical factory.

Everyone is forgetting two big things from recent history: Babies being taken from incubators and killed by EEVVULL Iraqis, and the buildup of the Saudi Border by Iraqi forces. Both totally fictional, both made up to further the agenda of Bush I, both eaten up by the media at the time.

During war a lot of crazy shit gets said. Much is untrue.

That said, this may be true. If I was an Al Qaeda fighter, I'd want to be in Iraq right now. Even if I hated the Iraqi regime, I'd still welcome the chance to fight Americans. However, I probably wouldn't be there to help my buddy Saddam. I'd be there to fight the great satan.
