hay dante, would you have any interest in putting on a drag show? you wouldn't have to participate in it, but i was talking with some people last night at erin's pumpkin carving party (aka operation orange) about doing that as a benifit for something (any ideas/suggestions would be nice...) or maybe even an illlogik event...DJs and such would be necessary.....i'm thinking hawaiian themed early next year, a sunshine event.....do you have any connections at capital theatre? you seem to be active there..

Erin,
Drag shows are always a success in Olympia... The Capitol Theater's a pretty good site but Thekla has hosted them quite a bit in the past.
I'm a volunteer with the Film Society which is housed at the Theater. I know some people on a superficial level. It's not a big deal for just anyone to schedule an event there though.
As far as local benefit things though...there are so many things that need to be benefited that it's hard to choose one. I suppose that it would depend on what you believe in the most. Safeplace, the women's shelter is often the recipient for many benefits.
Anyway take care...
