I'm trying my damndest not to turn into a wacko conspiracy theorist, but it just seems like so many things turn out to be true.
You know? At the time the government, or company, or whoever denies it, and then 10 years later you always find out it was true. When does this make you doubt today?
How long did it take for us to find out about Iran in 1979, and how long will it take to find out about Iraq? All I remember from the Iran thing was a shitload of U.S. flags being burned by Iranians on tv. I don't think that at the time they mentioned to the American public why the Iranians were so pissed off at us, and what our government had done.
Anybody who wants to spout some conspiracy theories, preferably backed by fact, or at least by something somebody else wrote, here is a good place.

my "wacko" conspiracy theory is that the Enron/Arthur Andersen mess was deliberately leaked to the American Press by "Old Europe", in retaliation for our refusal to divulge information to them regarding Project Echelon.

my deeper wacko conspiracy theory is that America isn't nearly as wealthy as we all believe we are...that the majority of our wealth is due to stocks and investments into companies, who have vastly larger sales of stocks than sales of the actual goods & services that the companies create for the consumers. this is why it was so easy to stab a big hole in Enron. all those stocks, all those investments, and really not all that many peoples in the Midwest flippin on the lightswitch.

my belief is that we have way too many daytraders and attorneys in this country, and not nearly enough farmers and laborers, and that this false wealth will be exploited by our economic competitors, and other enemies.

I dunno, everyone who cared about the issue knew we deposed the Iranian government in favor of the Shah. (Though most had/ still have some wacky notions about the government we deposed [democratic] or why we deposed in [the threat of oil nationalization in Iran].)

Maybe this is just the pinko in me talking, but that sounds pretty down to earth to me.

Have you guys ever heard of David Icke? You conspiracy nuts should really read his books. He's really smart, well read and his books are well written... and the conspiracies are way out there. They'd make good science fiction movies... I'm sure they'll really frighten you people.

Here, I'll save you guys some time. A quick search yielded this website:

Enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to take your anti- psychosis meds!

By the way, just before 9/11 this guy predicted that soon something catastrophic would happen so our government could wage war in the Middle East.

He also said that the two main evils are Britain and the U.S.- the two who are now leading the current war...

Just a taste. ;)

http://www.haarp.alaska.edu

This is about an ionosphere program in Alaska. Haarp has managed to fly beneath the radar of uproar it would create if more people knew about it. This site gives the public friendly purposes of the program, you don't have to be a scientist to understand the other applications the department of defense will not publicly state. think being able to control the weather or x-ray the entire earth.
