Seems like quite a few entrenched haters on either side aren't particularly happy about the roadmap.

Alright, that was a bit pessimistic. In all honesty, I think Israel is, as my grandma would say, "too big for it's britches." But the fact that they haven't threatened to use nukes at all in the last two years gives me hope that they are interested in stopping all the killing, both sides.

Hamas No Choice But Peace If Israel Stops Killings
Friday, 6 June 2003, 12:26 pm
Press Release: Palestinian National Authority
Minister Shaath: if Israel pledges to stop its aggression policy then Hamas, Jihad May Have No Choice
Minister of foreign affairs Dr. Nabeel Shaath who is a member of the official Palestinian delegation to both Sharm El-Sheikh and Aqaba summits declared Wednesday at the Aqaba summit that if Israel pledges to stop its aggression and killing of Palestinians then Hamas and Islamic Jihad will have no choice but to end violent resistance to Israeli occupation .
“If the summit (in Aqaba) concludes with a clear statement in which Israel pledges to halt all violence against the Palestinian people ... the responsibility will fall on Hamas and Jihad,” the PNA foreign minister Nabil Shaath told AFP.
Minister Shaath said the Aqaba meeting could be an opportunity to halt Jewish settlements—deemed illegal under international law—to secure Israel’s withdrawal from land reoccupied after the outbreak of the Palestinian uprising in September 2000 and a commitment to a Palestinian state.
“Who would accept to take the responsibility of refusing all this in front of the Palestinian people?” Dr. Shaath asked, adding that “the Palestinian street will be angry” if such an opportunity is missed.
PM Abbas said last week he was on the verge of a ceasefire deal with Hamas, who said Israel should halt its military aggression against the Palestinian people before the Islamic Resistance Movement is willing to stop its resistance against Israeli occupation.

^^^ Absolutely shocking. Who woulda thought that they wouldn't want peace. They accuse Abbas of selling out to Israel, although they would probably consider anything less than the killing of all the Jews, 'selling out.' Its so sad it's almost funny. Here these people have one chance at getting their own state and living good lives in peace, but unfortunately their lust for murder never fades.

These threads are not long enough lately since I have half the fuckers on ignore...
Ah well. Stick it in a bucket and fuckit. I am not exposing myself to their hatred and delusional drivel so I can come away feeling like I had watched something wretched and void, like WWF.
Eveytime you read a rightie's post, God kills a kitten, and your IQ drops a few fractions of a point.:-D

Mike, SS, there's a place for what you're talking about, and that's Jason's thread entitled "Are the Palestinians capable of peace?".
I started this thread to point out that there are Israelis with just as much ingrained hatred who also don't want peace. Don't hijack it with your blinkered vision.
Two to tango people, two to tango.

Holy shit Mike, that Flash presentation was horrific. It could easily be constituted as hate speech. And the leaps of logic it made.......the KKK doesn't even come to conclusions that wacked out.
Do you sincerely believe this? That is seriously fucked up, man. Do you make sure your tinfoil hat is on straight and secure when you read it?
