definitely measure the dimensions of your turntables, and allocate extra length for the thickness of the wood you are using, as well as any padding you will use to protect the gear. also, carpeting would be a good idea and should be able to hook it up easily.

there are other things, but they are obvious. think about it :D

If you want a really tight coffin, go the vintage route. It is hard to measure up to the old school way of making coffins, so it is best to just find a used one. Plus, you will have a stylin' and unique coffin that will inspire you and make your friends envious.

Here is a link to some vintage coffins, to get you started: http://www.vintagecoffins.com/

Good luck!

P.S. This is not a BSP. I just like the product.

Well, the thing is, I'm building a coffin that will have spaces for my CDJs and my Turntables, and my mixer, all in one Gigantic coffin!!! I bet I could find one like this if I looked hard enough, but I also bet it would cost me way too much money. Plus I bet I could have some fun customizing a coffin!

Does anyone know what thickness of wood would be best?

"Don't feel limited to what you see here or anywhere on the site. This is not a catalog. All coffins pictured were custom made to the specifications and tastes of previous clients and are intended to give you some idea of what is possible."

I personally, like the red padding....

make sure you leave room for connectors sticking out the back of mixers, turntables etc, and a way of easily accessing for cleaning, if anything gets disconnected etc
