for those who need a tip to help them learn:
record yourself once a week ( but don't stress on it try to relax).then listen to it all week when you can ( now stress on it ).try it again and again, not always the same way.this is a good tool to get away from your mixer and hear what everyone else will.
ps. if it comes out good send it to me! peace.

I've been doing this for years, and I have to say that I never really thought that my mixes sounded much different that what I heard. Three short words come to mind....

HA, HA, and HA.

Until I started recording myself and listening to it, I had no idea what my mixes sounded like to the people on the other side of the tables. Not that that's a BAD thing, necessarily. But when you listen to yourself later on, you pick up on certain little things that you keep doing slightly wrong that you can improve upon.

This should come with a $ back guarentee, Truer words have never been spoken. Do this and you may be astounded what you can pick up by listening after the fact. Nicey- bElo
