George W. Bush has hit controversy as a picture has surfaced showing the president signing a well-wisher's hand-held American flag--a violation of the Federal Flag Code ?

According to the statute, "[t]he flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature."

The President was meeting and greeting supporters on July 23, 2003 at Beaver Aerospace and Defense in Livonia, Michigan where the alleged transgression occured.

A side note about the flag flap:
"Any rule or custom pertaining to the display of the flag of the United States of America, set forth herein, may be altered, modified, or repealed, or additional rules with respect thereto may be prescribed, by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, whenever he deems it to be appropriate or desirable; and any such alteration or additional rule shall be set forth in a proclamation."

Is this for display by the 'Comander in Chief' - It doesnt look that way, it appears to be for the personal use of a bush monkey.

How many times do I have to correct you on this one? It was 4 million spent on investigating into Clinton's relationship with Monica, and why? Becuase Clinton was required by law from the Paula Jones case to disclose all "sexual relationships" with women who were either state or federal employees since 1986. After gathering all of this evidence, the independent council presented this evidence to then Attorney General Janet Reno. After she reviewed this evidence she determined that a further investigation into the matter was required in which this issue was ordered.

The Independent Counsel shall have jurisdiction and authority to investigate to the maximum extent authorized by the Independent Counsel Reauthorization Act of 1994 whether Monica Lewinsky or others suborned perjury, obstructed justice, intimidated witnesses, or otherwise violated federal law other than a Class B or C misdemeanor or infraction in dealing with witnesses, potential witnesses, attorneys, or others concerning the civil case Jones v. Clinton.

This is where the $4 Million was spent and 12 days later the allegations about the President's relationship with Monica became public by Matt Drudge. The independent council even filed a motion to halt the civil discovery process becuase they argued that it was having "negative effects" on the criminal investigation. The court ruled that the process move forward anyways, and the political game began and the facts above became irrelvant to partisan democrats who distorted the facts above and had spin central city operating 24/7. And then the partisan maggots on the right used these facts to press for impeachment, which they had grounds todo so but envoking impeachment over the matter was unnessesary considering the fact that while you may have legal basis for doing so, expecting the American people to read all of the court testimonies and all of the evidence is another story. And without having those facts to view this case it looks like nothing but a stupid partisan attempt by the Republicans. Which in the public eye it sure as hell came off that way, and the idiots on the right constantly on the attack to push the impeachment process forward sure as hell is partisan. But before I learned the facts of the case I was also of the opinion of "so what if he got a BJ in the WH" type but my opinion of this scandal changed as I read the facts in the case. The media loved the story becuase you know sex sells no matter what. But beyond all the political bullshit, this was a case based on sexual harassment on the part of the president, the events that happend afterward were entirely the fault of the president. He knew he was screwed both ways, if he admitted to having sexual relationships with women he had power over that would of given Paula Jones a better position to winning her case against him, denying it was easier but unfortunatley his attempts to tamper with the case blew up in his face.
