This little rant isn't about this party in particular, but I'll just throw it up here on this thread anyways. Currently the state of our underground dance scene is in a major state of shrinkage. Record stores everywhere, both online and local are closing at an alarming rate. Groovetech, 360, Zion's Gate (pdx), Starbass, Beats International, Chaos Existance, the list goes on and on; these stores I listed are just in the Northwest alone! "Big" record labels are going under (Hooj, Strictly Rhythm, etc...) Publications are shutting down (Minty Mag.)

If this culture is important to you now is the time to let your voice be heard. Now is the time to come together. We need to be showing support for all the events out there that we can. If some of us fall down we will all be falling down. There was hardly anyone at the last Soul Sessions, what's up with that? Where were many of you? We need to be going out and supporting -ALL- the crews in Eugene. Compared to many places we have a thriving scene around here. Different crews have shows lined up for the fall, almost every weekend. Be on the look out for the upcoming events in our town and go out to support. Bring new friends. Dance. Volunteer your time to promote, or help setup. Make costumes, make decorations. If you are a DJ, try to buy records locally. DO SOMETHING!!!

On the Oneself Connect website we have always listed all of the local events that we are involved with. Starting in the next few days we are going to be listing ALL of the local events in Eugene that are electronic related. This is not an attempt to get people to check out our site, it is a service that we want to provide to the commuinty to help in spreading the word about events in town that need attention from the dancers out there. Feel free to submit events to us for posting to that list. This will just be an additional resource to list events and flyers that are specific to our community, without all the chatter of the message boards.

That ends my rant for now, I'm sure I'll have more to say later.
