its the v700's that youre looking for... thats what i use and i love em. the best deal that i have seen is through pro sound stage and lighting ( www.pssl.com (http://www.pssl.com) ) for 129 i think. but then you have to pay shipping and wait, etc, etc... but i dont think that guitar center will match internet ads. i broke down and went to the good guys for mine and paid 149, cause i wanted them right then! good luck!

and Guitar Center DOES price match net ads... I HEARD that u just have to bring in a printed ad?! But that would be WAY too easy to edit so I am not sure how u do it, but I KNOW you can (they told me once).

just bring in the ad... I've taken in printouts that look like they're right off of Word for $3,000 worth of stuff (that should of cost $4,000)... and they took it with no real hassle...
they know that you can buy the Sony's for as little as $109, so they won't argue at all...
Guitar Center is pretty cool like that...

of course, just because they're being nice and trusting doesn't mean you should take advantage of it... and they're not stupid - one guy went in there with a printout for a DJM 600 for $400 - which is rediculously low - and they laughed at him and told him never to come back...

Pulpmind: that's what I thought... I wouldn't want to jeopardize my guitar center priveleges tho... they really do have awesome deals (especially sales)... but I have gotten pretty good with photoshop...

i wouldn't recommend trying to screw with guitar center at all. it totally depends on what you are purchasing, but if a deal in an ad you bring in seems to good to be true they will go to the length of calling the company or visiting their web site.

i had no problem getting them to price match my headphones, but they really didn't want to budge on turntable prices when i found a really good deal.

Yeah I got lucky with my headphones. I got my Sony MDR - V700s for about $100.

It was one of those crazy after-christmas sales or something.
