Mickey started DJing in the late eighties and became well known with the advent of the Acid House movement in South London. He was given the name Mickey Finn because of his build by mates and friends in the scene. In the early nineties breakbeat and loose jungle techno was filling his record boxes as he travelled the length and breadth oh the UK. Such was the demand for his skills at this time by huge events all around the country he was even strarting to catch private planes between gigs. Mickey's production talents started off with Biting Back - She's Breaking Up then partnered Gavin and Claudio for Urban Shakedown - Some Justice. Now in the late nineties Mickey travels the world and throws down his vibe in countries like Japan, USA, Australia, Holland, Ibiza, Germany, Finland, Israel and France to name just a few.

You could throw a party with a lineup of just the people who have been voted for and that shit would go off . People araound here dont realize how much talent we got here in Seattle . In most cities you only have one maybe two really good dj's the rest are pretty much locals trying to learn . Out here we dont have only 1 or 2 we have abaout 30 or 40. Seattle is so saturated with talent it puts most cities to shame . And whats even worse is that its not realized some people are just too jaded to realize a good thing when they have got it . Party kids in other cities would kill to have talent like us , but we just sit here and abuse it and only go to parties when people like Dj Irene come into town ? Go figure :rolleyes:

I would have to go with all ages because most of my friends that I go with are almost 18, but I know that they would be royally pissed if they couldn't go to such an amazing party as I know this will be. People of all ages do stuff just as bad as flashing at other raves. (Like wearing just tape over nipples...)

Anyway, but I imagine most overage people would go to this event anyway. I don't know if more of 18+/21+ partiers would come out of the woodworks because some people in their mid-twenties maybe feel out of place with a large age16/17 crowd? Not sure. Anyway, all in all the event probably would be better attended if it stayed all ages. Just my 25 cents.

all events that were at the IAF were under the 18+ theme due to facility request but ID checks as we remember were only enforced if someone looked obviously too young.....
we are looking for some feedback if there is a demand for 18+/21alcohol events in general and are also checking to see if maybe by feb.28th (the date of hM-3) a large %age of party-goers will have turned 18 already and would rather be w/ a 18+ crowd????

We're simply gathering input from y'all ! So far Masquerade has been an all ages event and it will stay like that unless there's a strong demand for 18+/21+alcohol.Then we would see if we can do the all ages event the same night somewhere else for under 18 partiers that really want to go.
We figure that attendance would be bigger if it remains all ages, but if nobody ever asks if you guys want an 18+/21+ event, then nobody will ever know if there's a demand 4 it.

I don't go to many events anymore because the average age at many events is really young and not that there's anything wrong with that but when you're getting in your late 20's you simply can't help feel a little out of place. I still love the vibe and the music, but would be more inclined to go to 18+/21+alcohol events.

Maybe having the same event same night for the underage crowd at a different spot? I think this would mean that if you're over 18 you can can chose to go to either spot and the under 18 crowd can still go,also.

Ya know, I've actually been thinking a lot about that. It would be wise and safer because we find the majority of careless drug use and/or just the lack of respect or knowledge of the scene being of kids under 18. It disturbs me to see 13, 14, 15 yr. olds at these parties wasted off their asses and makin' out through the whole night. I mean, there are kids older than 18 that can do the same, but there is that level of maturity that makes all the difference.
