I'm in the process of booking Simply Jeff in PDX on th 19th of February. He has a hole in his schedule, and I could probably get him to Seattle for the 20th, which is a Friday. If anybody wants to try and book him there, let me know. I'd like to share air-fare and other costs with another promoter up North, possibly even promotional materials.

hit me up at mwilson@ecosconsulting.com if you're interested.

Simply Jeff was just here last weekend... you might have a better bet trying to book him in Canada or NorCal. I'm not sure how many promoters in Seattle would want to book him one month after he was just here. Especially considering his results as a draw everytime he's been here.

Just my two cents.

How would flight-share work among in-country flights?

Split the cost of the plane ticket to portland then drive there to pick jeff up and bring him back?

I understand flight-share among international acts, but never heard of doing such a trade unless its in the same city where say DJ would peform at a club 21+ then a rave the next day (both promoters split the costs of the hotel + plane ticket to same city).

My original plan was just to informally hook up with somebody in Seattle that had an opening in their schedule on that date.

I generally try produce shows on a somewhat more informal basis and am always looking for potenitally cost-saving options. With this show, I was planning to send him North on a train, becuase that's usually the most sensible way to get between here and Seattle. However, I didn't realize that he had already played Seattle like a month ago, so maybe I'm going to scratch that idea.

in this case, the cost of getting him from l.a to portland, portland to seattle, and seattle to l.a would be shared by two consenting promoters. i've done this quite a few times when bringing djs to oregon.
