J-Pop

I have a weakness for cheezy japanese vocals, especially if its from Shibuya, but I don't come across it very often. Does anyone know where I can get some MP3s or hear streams of more of this stuff?

For examples, I like Cornelius, Pizzicatto 5, Cibo Matto, some Arling and Cameron tracks, and occasionally some cheesier end-of-the-anime kind of crap.

Right now, I am in love with this track from Zone of the Enders 2. It is really fucking great and I would like to hear more like it:

ayumi hamasaki is kinda cute. And I'm sorry, but anime songs are *not* J Pop. DOn't get me wrong some anime songs are kinda cool, but they areonly classified as J Pop to Americans.

Go on WinMX or Kazaa or whatever and browse J Pop Videos. Being a poor college student I eat so much rice and ramen I think I'm beginning to undertstand the words.

Ayumi hamasaki is alright, I like the girl group BeForU.

I am more in to J-rock..Like Dir en grey, Due le quartz, kagrra, Perriot, Moix de moiz (sp?), some Mana, some Gackt, and Miyavi..i love him. Here's a good Miyavi website toget info about him and his music.

I would highly recommend Koda Kumi right now... she has a beautiful voice, and her music is pure japanese dance... she does the original theme song for Final Fantasy 10-2...

also, be careful if/when you listen to Morning Musume... almost all of their music, is actually Japanese translated remakes of Europop/Eurobeat songs...

go to Kinokuniya in Uwajimayas if you want to buy anime soundtracks and other Japanese music...
