Record a good demo and give it to EVERYONE - promoters, party kids, other DJs. If people like your demo, word will get around and you'll start getting booked eventually. Good Luck!

Yeah I had the same question.
I am from Holland Amsterdam, I spin trance, (I always say Tiesto, Ferry Corsten like) Hardstyle (Dj Isaac, Technoboy) and Hardcore (Omar Santana, H20 records, Neophyte, Rotterdam records etc...)
Who are the party organizers...... were can I find these people? I'll give them the demo's but I don't know who to contact and if there is even interest in my European sound?
I hope somebody can help.......

Trance??? Good luck man, partiers in the nw hate trance.

Are you high??? Partiers in the nw west dig trance more than you think.
Every time I go to a party that has a "trance" room, That room is more packed than every other room. Now if you say people on this board don't dig trance, I might tend to agree but this board is only a very small percentage of partiers here in the northwest.

So? There's always a crowd for Trance, maybe not the biggest, but still.....
And as you can read I spin hardhouse/hardstyle and hardcore, but that might be to hard for some people here in the NW.

We still host open deck night on Thursday nights, any local DJs looking to get deck time or booked for local parties should attend. If you are over 21, you can also contact DJ Destiny (Landis) about Sunday night open deck night at the Ohm.

So ok, that sounds new for me. Everybody is always telling me that the hardhouse/hardstyle & hardcore is a little to much for the NW........ whatever......
Thanks for the tip!!!

Yo dog, the way our scene is going, you don't even have to know what your doing up there, it doesn't matter anymore I guess. All you have to do is get in good with promoters, and they will give you the homie hook up. there are so many djs playing out right now locally that can't match a beat to save their lives. But they are still playing out because of who they know & what they can do for the promoter, like lickin there ass. Talent isn't on the top priority these days, it's sad but true. Just go out and meet people. Good luck

I handed out 50+ demos at the club I wanted to play at and by the end of the night I was booked. It helps too though if the people doing the booking have heard you play before wether at a house party or wherever.

That's a way to go also talk to more people not just hand out your demo to them and that's it. try to make the connections, the more personal, the more chance you will get in to the scene.
about the music discussion thing, which is kinda off of the topic of this thread, i dont think people give a shit about what kind of music it is i mean most people don't know what the hell trance is anyway at least where i live. if they get drunk enough no matter when i drop the trance/hard trance into my set they will just dig it (but dont put them all at once though that could be a potential disaster to the drunkers). strangely or sadly, you can not beat the power of "alcohol" mannnn....

Seriously now. we NEED more hardcore DJ's in the nw. especially if you can start spinnin up in teh seattle area. I love hardcore, and i know many others that do too. try meetin up with some of the hardcore dj's in the seattl earea if that's a possibility for ya and things will start goin better for you.

Yeah I know but first you have to hook up with them and so find out who they are.
I already hooked up with Little Terror for example, but what's next?
I'll drive to seattle every weekend if I have to, I really don't care.
But I agree we need more Hardcore dj's here in the NW, its all breaks and DnB.
If there are any hardcore "organizers" reading this, PM me and maybe we can work something out?
later.

The absolute best way to get bookings, and this is the truth... You meet somebody like me(RebelProd.) or Jesse(1001) and come over to one of our houses to kick it. You also bring some hard alchohol of somekind, perhaps some beer, and a couple beautiful woman to keep us, "company" while you spin. That pretty much garauntees you a slot, no matter where you are trying to get booked in the world.;)
Seriously though... This is how things work, and I speak from experience:D
peace
