I soon will be certified with an A.W.S. All position, unlimited thickness for welding.

But I have to move to Oregon for a few months to get it for free :(.

35-40 starting wage :) so being away from Seattle for a little while wont be so bad.

If I can ever get over my fear of swimming out in the ocean, I'll get scub cert, and become an underwater welder, thats HUGE bucks. ($500ish an hour if I work underwater in Alaska.)

I used to work at Safeway, and it was a great job at the time because everybody use to slack off and have a good time. Then we got a new manager and i quite. He was a major asshole.

I now work at a Freight Forwarding company called Airgroup Express as an Accounts Payable Clerk in Bellevue. I live in Seattle, so the commute kind of sucks cause it takes me an hour to get there by bus. (have to take two buses) but i get to slack off and go on the internet all the time. My job rulz. Though i make less than $10 an hour. :P

I get to install Smart Homes, Security Systems, Home theatres, wireless touch screen controllers and pretty much anything else that doesn't have to do with High Voltage (lights and power outlets).

I make decent money ($14) but I get to work in some of the most beautiful homes in washington and around the US.

my last out of state job was in Napa California for the ex ceo of aol-timewarner. It was a $50million home on a huge vinyard. The theatre itself was 200,000 dollars in equipment. It had 12 individual leather recliners, a 75,000 dollar projector, 7.1 dolby digital w/ 2 subs built into the floor. AMAZING woodwork and wireless touch screens that could control:

Lighting moods, Oven, Microwave, thermostats, Blinds, all the gear in the theatre, any of the 8 64in plasma tv's, any of the 12 pairs of the hidden speakers in the walls, and security for every window and door in all three wings.

This house was recently voted into the top 10 houses in the world! It was an awesome experience!

I love my job :D

I used to manage the Burien Craft Supply store about a year before they closed that & the Bellevue location. I'm not suprised that they sold the Kent location too. Craig inherited it from his dad & never wanted to run 3 craft stores in the first place. Too bad though - cuz they were great little stores. I enjoyed working there too.

I did that too, dropped the ball on school, but you can't bartend forever. Graduated last year...got this job 6 months later...my life, is DRAMATICALLY improved. I have health care for my son...a steady paycheck...and I remember when broke meant...BROKE. But now broke means only 150 bucks until Friday...which could be better, but I have some money in savings for the first time in my life. School is the pathway to security. Every thing is less important, because, everything becomes soo much easier when you are done.

i work as a field biologist for the USGS here on da' big island in hawaii...it fucking rocks.

i get paid to hike around places the public can't go, get to catch and handle rare and endangered birds, work on a project to understand how malaria affects them, and possibly save them. i also get to do veg. surveys in new areas and drive 4x4s all over the island.

my job rocks!

i also am a reservist in the coast guard, where my job is to respond to oil and chemical spills in the ocean. its a fun job, and they pay for all my school.

plus, women like me in a uniform!

I work for a private US company whose headquaters is out here in Newark, NJ. My official titles are "Bank Liaison & Internal Portfolio Agent". Essentially, I collect money on behalf of large leasing banks and manage our internal payments.

Money is stellar though so I have ZERO complaints.
