Hmm...good for everyone, I think. Finally accepting and recognizing(at least starting to) all kinds of families is a positive step for our entire society, not just the GLBT community.

i finally found a site that talks about the arguments against gay marriage. if this is all the wankers against gay marriage can come up with...mostly emotional and irrational thoughts...then gay marriage will DEFINATELY be allowed by the supreme court.

check it out here.

Nobody should get married, legally! The government is just gonna reem you up the ass in taxes.

Just have a nice commitment ceremony, with rings and everything. That'd be nice. :)

i don't give a fuck about taxes... i just want hospital visitation rights, insurance benefits (regardless of marriage, EVERYONE should have insurance), and rights to my partner's estate/property.

Heh...

I was joking... I'm totally homo myself and I think it is great that some states are not only getting their heads straight about this, but also directly opposing Bush.

Heroin obviously is a much more threatening thing to society than gays getting married... so... that was why it was funny. Well... maybe it wasn't.

(05-17) 10:57 PDT TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) --

President Bush on Monday renewed his call for Congress to pass a constitutional amendment banning gay marriages.

On the same day that Massachusetts began issuing licenses to gay couples, Bush said in a statement, "The sacred institution of marriage should not be redefined by a few activist judges."

In the statement, read aboard Air Force One by White House press secretary Scott McClellan while traveling to Topeka, Kan., Bush said that "all Americans have a right to be heard in this debate."

Noting that he had called on Congress some time ago to pass a constitutional amendment banning such marriages, Bush said "the need for that amendment is still urgent, and I renew that call today."

Although Bush has not actively put pressure on Congress to pass the measure, McClellan said the White House had been "in close contact with members of Congress" in an attempt to get the measure moving.

It’s about damn time. I am not gay but I support civil rights 110%. Again It’s about damn time. Cheers to MA. Now we just need to pull the sheets off of all the other states and let them know what’s going on.
