What I ask myself after reading that article is if they legalized the good buds, would the next generation of kids to come up associate it with other 'illicit' substances or would it fall in to the same cultural category as alcohol. Would drug use overall drop?
I have faith in the kids.

What do you think would happen to the quality of buds? Price?

i would assume that strains would be isolated in hydroponic facilities if it was legalized as a commercial drug like alcohol and cigarettes. Also, I would think that the best buds would be "patented" so that only one corporation could exploit it, and overcharge for it. I think it would end up being just like beers, where shitty pilsners are cheap and overmanufactured, microbrews cost a little more (or a lot) and are higher quality, and imports... well imports would be imports.
see, this is why I don't want it to be legal. because as soon as it is, corporate HQ would exploit it to no end. I like it just fine how it is. Maybe if there was no charge for posession...
