Busted!

Last night I got caught with my friends pipe and mine; as well as 4 grams of bud. I ended up getting a ticket for possession. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I could do?

Show up to all of your court dates dressed in formal attire. Say yes sir no sir. Don't argue or say you are less than guilty. Start saving for a fine!!!!

A responsible pot user should know the risks being taken. Norml.org is a good resource.

Good news is, it's on it's way to being decriminalized. If you were in King County, I'd say you have a good chance of little happening. Fine, community service - probably with a deferred judgement, meaning, if you behave for a year, it will be taken off your record. This is assuming that your record is already clean. Check the site - it's helpful.

Also, I would recommend doing the following when leaving the house with the Good Mary Jane ::

- Leave the paraphenelia at home. It's just another charge if you get caught. Roll joints. Easier to dispose of anyways. Baking also does the trick nicely.

- Condense your sacks. Multiples look like dealing.

- Don't stand around smoking. Walk around.

- At parties, again - joints. One lighter flick - continuous ones alert security.

- Dryer sheets for smell.

- If you're a girl, crotch it. The last thing a male security guard or police offer wants to do is risk a rape call by some girl - they won't search us unless absolutely necessary.

Keep in mind, I'm not an advocate of drug use at all. I do think, however, if you are going to use them, it's necessary to be responsible and informed.

Otherwise, we're just addicts.

Be happy you got off with a ticket and not arrested ;)

And, yeah, be polite in court and you can prolly get deferred / probationary sentencing. Then be careful for a year or you'll be REALLY hatin' it.

Get charged, ticketed, sent to jail, whatever. But under any circumstances, DON'T GET CONVICTED. Hire a lawyer to help you.
Getting convicted of posession will screw you over in the future.

I always thought the sneek a toke pipes were cool. They're ceramic ciggies that you fill with green. They're pretty badass, I think. They're heavy too though, and they don't hold very much.

treat the judge like a human being, they like that. don't let the authority figures in court make you nervous, they don't like that.

also, a good thing to do is roll spliffs and cary them with your cigs, and if you don't smoke cigarettes, you can still buy a pack for this reason.
