New York Grrl Looking for older Ravers!

Hey Seattle! Just moved here from New York and need to see what this city is made of. I need to be illuminated!I'm 23 and hoping to find where the hot spots are for old folks like me! Get at me!

Well, if ya dig jungle Seattle has a bunch of clubs which feature d & b during the week. Organic, at the ArtBar on fridays is always good and cozy. And there's Focus, at Aristocats, on wednesdays. I haven't checked that out yet though. The Baltic Room, on tuesdays, usually has good beats too. Sometimes "bigger names" perform there.
If you want a big club there's always the Showbox for Dedicated on Saturdays. Have never heard jungle there; hard house, techno and trance are the staples there. Its more pricey than the other clubs (on a lucky night you will get in for $10; unlucky $15), and it usually opens late and it ends early. (Music stops at 1:30 booo!!!!) but it has a good sound system and a big dance floor. Unfortunately it can get pretty crowded with plastic people out to grind against each other but there are still cool people there.

And don't call yerself old! I'm 25 but I'm not "old". Just more "adult-like".

Daisy, welcome to Rain City.
Find the latest issue of a local magazine called The STRANGER, it's free and you can find virtually anywhere,(coffe shops, record shops, clothing shops, etc.) you will find almost all the info you need for our local club scene.
It is new every Thursday every week.

hey..since the only days brought forward were the jungle nights, i thought i better throw out the house nites...well..becuase house rawks images/smilies/smile.gif

my faves are wed and sat nites at last supper club, and sunday night at the re-bar. the last supper club is a bit more mainstream and trendy, but its full of beautiful people who really dig their house muzak...re-bar on sunday is a bit slower, but still, an amaaazing night of deep house grooves..resident djs brian lyons and wesley holmes.

also keep an eye out for the Sound Texture Series...its a series of one-off nights happening once a month..last month they brought out miguel migs, this month kevin yost...mulletboy u rock!!!!
