Okay this just popped in my head. Anybody here like anime? Lots of people must. I mean when i went to abducted they played like 7 episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, and i think once when i was at FX they were playing some anime before they turned on the Care Bears movie. Anyways, I love anime. For anyone who loves anime as much as anime as me you will know the term OtakuKing from Otaku No Video. I am the OtakuKing. Bwaaaa!!!! I am such a dork.

P.S. When i ask who likes anime, i mean anime. NOT HENTAI Hentai is not anime, it is porn. Hentai is nasty, and i do not affiliate myself with hentai. I have seen some just because and the only value it has it soo you can make fun of it and diss it. I mean come on TENTACLE RAPE?!?!?! That's just nasty. ^_^

Mwa hahahahahaha!!! Being the anime freak i am.... here is how to go. Buy.com has animes half off, usually. Suncoast.com usually has good deals, not as cheap as buy.com BUT the delivery is in like 2 days.
Also, if you don't have the hookups like me, find someone that works at either sam goody or suncoast video. They are both owned by the same corporation. They have an employee discount of 30%. Its even been 40% at one time. Why i do not know.

Now Catalyst, do you just want anime videos or paraphanelia? Cuz that is a whole different group of sites. Cuz most is imported, and there are some really good cheap importers, and then some really BAD importers.

For those of you who have no clue or want to know more go ot either anipike.com or otakuworld.com Both of these sites are a wealth of imformation and cool GOODIES!!!

I like manga/anime alot cept movies are expensive so i have no real collection. My current favorite movie(seen it like 50 times now) was Monoko Hime which came out 2-3 years ago but was recently released with really bad dubbing in the states as Princess Monoko.

*sigh* Princess Mononoke is has good dubbing. It was done by Neil Gaimen!!! The guy who wrote Sandman and Death. Not only that, when he was writing the english dialouge he did it so that the english words fit better then the japanese words. So in comparison the dubbing is better. *Blink* Anyways, Mononoke IS good. I saw the American Premier in Chicago.

Also Gillian Anderson (the main actress from X-Files) is the voice acter for the wolf goddess in Princess Mononoke.

the best place to get videos, i've found, is suncoast video, since they've got a decent selection and the ability to special order... you can also check out scarecrow video in seattle on roosevelt ave, or stadium video in tacoma (near stadium high school, on first & broadway) both of which have extensive subbed and dubbed versions.
there's nothing wrong with being otaku. shit, with all the pikachu backpacks, vibrating toys, talking interactive gps and pocket calculator systems, you'd think we were obsessed with orange nike's from 1983 or curvy swords with miniscule hilting...

me, i'll just stick with shojo-blue hair, and work on finding a pair of shorts short enough to be my own version of giant robo this halloween...

It's totally an original style of anime...but I absolutely love all the work by Yoshitaka Amano...he's the guy that did the original design for Vampire Hunter D, and he did some absolutely incredible work with a lot of the Final Fantasy characters too...His style is just amazing, it has such a surreal element to it...the atmospherics, the shadows, everything about it is amazing! Bwa........... I know what hentai is. I was using tentacle rape as an example. I am educated, I AM anime. No shit hentai is a style of anime, it is drawn with the same style as all other anime. The reason why i don't think of hentai as anime is because a MAJORITY of it is just cartoon porn. Whereas other anime is an entertaining medium/culture for the masses.

I met a guy who had never seen anime. My opinion about dubbing, it pretty much almost always sucks ass. Although I've seen anime where the dubbing isn't terribly horrible, i still usually prefer subtitled. Sucky thing is that subtitled anime usually costs more then dubbed. Ah well, u pay for what u want =D.

BTW, I'm gonna order X/1999 soon (subtitled -heh). Wh000, I do believe we need an anime watching session sometime soon.

And yes, I know that the movie for X does the manga no justice at all, but I just can't deny how much I love CLAMP's works.

Not all of hentai is pure smut. I have actually come across a few hentai videos in my matriculation around the anime genre that were totally romantic and well done, but classified as hentai because of the nudity in the lovemaking scenes. Even so, I do have to admit that I think the tentacle rape stuff is hilarious. I don't look at hentai for kicks or to get my rocks off, if ya know what I mean, but I look at it for what its meant to be viewed for: hilarity. I think its absolutely hilarious.

Anime is wonderful. So vibrant, so full of life, and so multifaceted. Its a whole other world to me, one that I love to constantly get lost in. Sailor Moon is my favorite, and I collect and watch that series religiously, but there are plenty of others that I loved. Oh My Goddess, Devil Hunter Yokho, Record of Lodoss War, Lud, Battle Angel, Ghost in the Shell, Wicked City, Demon City Shinjuku, etc.

Ah, to spend twelve hours straight glued to the tv watching nothing but anime. Now THAT's heaven to me.
