Hey everyone it's me Tony again and I have to ask a question in regards to promoting a show that I have coming up in October.

Here is what I have done thus far.

I have printed up full color fliers and have distributed them all over so far and have friends to help me with that as well.I have printed roughly 60 posters thus far and posted them a t the club the show is at,records stores Everyday Music,Platnium, and 360.

Plus I am looking in to a commercial spot on opne of the local radio stations. and posibly a quote from the Wilamette Weekly.

Other than that I am open to things I haven't tried yet.If someone here can give me some places to hit up to either lay a small stack of fliers here and there and/or place posters in their window.I know the westside of PDX pretty well and some of the East but not enough. So if anyone here would like to share some ideas please fel free to post here.

Much thanks

Tony

You should get every stripper in PDX to tatoo the event on one ass cheek.

try the pro audio dept in Guitar Center..they sometimes let you put flyers there for events. You can always also do it the old fashion way and plaster cars with flyers after shows as well.

Have stickers made perhaps, and have kdis go sticker everything that is high visiblity, or take duct tape and attach your flyers to tri-met bus stands.

Put your flyers up in every bathroom you see above the urinal, which is very effective. You can't ready a newspaper at the urinal without being wierd... but a flyer on the wall, hell yeah!

Haha

Yeah I can see MediaFreq jumping on that idea for printing. Prices vary by the size of the ass.

Anyways these are all good ideas so far.I have Guitar Center on lock and the stickers I will need to work on.I will also look into the stripper idea...err for business purposes only yah know :)

A good location 100% secured and confirmed would be good to advertise. And I'm not talking relatively secure. It can't be at the Paris Theater. It can't be all hard house and trance. Have some fucking variety for God's sake. If you want a turn out, hit up the mall, back in the day you used to be able to pick up flyers at Mr. Rags, Zumies etc. I would say hit the clubs, but the likely hood of getting that crowd is nill. All ages events are becoming things of the past in Portland so hit the target audience. Find kids that will distribute to their friends in highschools. Hit up a community college campus or PSU for that matter. Advertise on KPSU. If you can guarantee a bangin party people will come.
