best friends?

Well, i was thinkin the other day and was wondering why people only have 1 best friend. images/smilies/frown.gif

there are millions of peeps in the world who contribute so differently.

i say i have like 4 best best friends and tons of best friends. my 4 are: my little polish porn star friend (beata) images/smilies/rolleyes.gif, my friend we call jube (Miriam), papaya (chrystals new name, cute huh i picked it out images/smilies/biggrin.gif) and last my sister. even though we fight a bunch because of all of the ish that goes on, i love her. she will always be with me and our bond is stronger than others since we are twins.

Every one else i kick it with are like best friends they got to be. and regular friends to me are people i just talk with and see once in awhile like at school, the mall, work and around.

There is no way to have 1 best friend for me.

i most definitely dont have a best friend, havent in years...

in fact, i dont even really have many people i consider "good" friends. could count them on one hand.

i dunno tho, prolly just because i use the term "friend" very seriously.

if you use the word friend seriously you aren't going to get very far. friends are everything whether or not you think you can count on them. sometime or another if you are open they will help. one can not rely on just a few people to make it in the world. yah sure i understand how you say i can count them on one hand but those are good friends. friends in generally are what make the world go round...

I have a lot of good friends that I consider some of my best friends...but I only have 2 real best friends..who are the ones that are always there and try to cheer me up or are just the ones who know what I am thinking, feeling, and I don't even have to say anything...those are my 2 real best friends...I don't think you have to have one, you can have many...its who you really consider the nearest and dearest to you...those are the ones that are your best friends... and I have a lot of just friends..people that I know but don't hang out with a lot...thats what I think "friends" are....

that is a highly subjective statement.

i have a lot of "acquaintances", people that i know and see at parties, on the street, in seattle, at college, etc.

but to me, that is not a "friend". a friend to me is someone you can trust, someone you can talk to no matter what, someone you know will always be there for you.

that, to me, is a friend... what most people probably consider "good friends". thats what i mean when i say i dont use the term lightly.

cause hey, i have a LOT of acquaintances, but i certainly dont feel like they are "friends". i dont feel like seeing someone every month and saying hi makes them a friend to me.

so im not sure what you mean by "i wont get far"... i simply have my own reality check that just because you talk to someone once in awhile, they arent "friends", they are someone you know, acquaintances. the ones that really stick with you, those are friends. but ive found those kind of people are *very* few and far between, especially in the party scene.

I have one BEST BEST friend too. I thought I was making another one but she turned out to be a backstabbing bitch. Oh well, her loss. I guess that's why I only have one BEST friend. Thankfully I have a lot of wonderful people in my life that I consider good friends. Even if I don't get to see them very often, I am so happy when I do. Of course I have a ton of acquaintences but I always treat them as friends. So I am pretty lucky. I love you guys!

i can say safely that my boyfriend (who i know is my soul mate) is my best firend by a long shot. we have both had really bad pasts, and know that we arn't now who we we're a couple years ago. we havn't been apart since the day we got together and we havn't had a fight through the entire relationship and no, we arn't some dumb etarded couple who met at naf and fell in love that same night. so, yeah, my baby is definately my best friend. images/smilies/smile.gif

I don't have only one best friend! I don't really have a "best" friend either but I have those that are unbelieveably near and dear to me, even if I rarely talk to them and they live in DC images/smilies/frown.gif (that friend I've had for 16 years and I'm only 20 years old).
