I raved until 10:45 pm because Roddimus has to go work for "the man" at 4 am so he can fuck shit up from the inside, yo'. It was tons o' fun decorating the stage with foliage and creeping around in the dark, dusty inner sanctum of the Catwalk. I am trained in the deadly art of Ikebana and I'm not afraid to use it. Shokka!

It was neat-o to witness both of the contest winners in action. Great seeing The Bassist representing PDX dnb, and lovely seeing Roddimus do his thang.

It was fun seeing Rachel, Mike, Telly (nice to have you back in town, even if it's just for a few days), and meeting Chris and Joanna.

Please, everyone tell me what a fabulous night it was, and all of the lovely things that I missed! :) Klute is awesome!

I'm glad I came out to hear Klute for the first time. I wasn't even really aware of him until a buddy of mine told me a couple hours before the show.

Definately awesome dark, dirty chunky beats. Grooved a lot as usual. Just wish the sound system in the Catwalk would do the bass justice. Had to get up right at the front to get a really satisfying sound experience. My buddy thinks that Klute will "never" come back to Seattle, heh, because of the shitty sound. Yeah, he's a bit of a melodramatic individual. :p

But yay for two rooms of d & b! :D

Just want to thank everyone that came down for this! We had a really really good time. Met a lot of good peoples and familier faces! the music was dope the whole night. Thanks to all the djs that came through for us! The sound systems in both room were kinda booty but we maneged to make it through. Klute was awsome! thats about all i can say!

Yea I was pretty bummed about the sound, especially when I first walked in. The sound got a little better later on but it still didn't do the bass justice......despite this little malfunction I still had a great time....Klute did a good job and having Zach and Nitsuj close made it a perfect ending.....

I <3 Klute!! Wow, that man is so amazing. Thank you Polyrhythm and Onset for bringing him out. He is so deep and spiritual, I was in the zone the whole night. Totally feelin his aura and he pretty much had a flawless performance IMO. :)

The locals tore it up too. Tremor was holdin it down in the side room w/ his neuro madness, Syze dropped the darkness in the main room, Zach and Nitsuj ended the night properly! All I gotta say is that if you are walking out of the room to leave, then turn around and get pulled back in... that is a good DJ.

Sound issues have already been addressed. But overall, I think this was a pretty good party. Lots of people, good vibes all around.

So I saw Klute at the Ohm the weekend before, and he fucking rawked it. Like "whoa." I was going to be in Tacoma this weekend anyway, so I decided to go again.

I rolled up about 12.15-12.30ish. Walked into the side room, some guy (Demo I think) was tearing shit up. Not a lot of people dancing, but then hey it was the side room. Biggups to the DJ insyde. Hit the main room and waited for Klute to get on.

Here's what I gotta say.

Klute's set was kickass. I didn't enjoy it as much as what he spun at Ohm, because his Seattle set was quite a bit darker and harder - I guess he's playing to the dasBEBEN headz on that one :P. The Portland set was all over the map, musically, which kept me guessing. But the Seattle set was still fucking phat - it's fucking KLUTE, dammit! The white guy and black guy MCs were pretty good. But two things sucked here.

Obviously, the utter shittiness of the sound has already been touched on. But what really destroyed portions of Klute's set was THAT FUCKING FAT CHICK SINGING LALALALALALAA OVER THE TOP OF KLUTE!!! WHAT THE FUCK?!? WHO THE FUCK WAS THAT AND WHO GAVE HER THE MIC?!? FUCK!!!!!!

This bitch literally ruined every second of the set that she MC'd over - which was thankfully only a small part of it. I was literally screaming "noooooo!!!" as my eardrums were raped by her high-pitched, nasally voice and my eyes were assaulted by her hideous globs of body fat obstructing my view of the very talented cigarette-smoking DJ which I payed 13 bucks to dance to.

I can only figure that she got up there because she's a girlfriend of one of the DJs or promoters. So to the promoter and/or DJ who is hitting this girl: please, PLEASE, for the sake of all of us who want to dance or even just stand around nodding out heads, PLEASE cuff this girl to your bed the evening of the show and leave her there until it's over. PLEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE GET HER OFF THE STAGE!!!!!

But the comment you just made in regards to the girl on stage was way way out of hand... infact i am so mad at them moment that i could probably fly of the handle and call you some names.

Lady K (Kristin) has the most amazing voice i've heard, and she's super nice to top it off, even if i did get to talk to her briefly.

I generally HATE mc's. there's only a handful WORLDWIDE that i enjoy, and most make me cringe, and leave the room, because they are sooo fucking bad.
But i cannot comprehend how you could talk about her like that. She is incredibly talented and i trust that she will go places with her abilities.
