Just got home - had to make it an early night. Lots of people, good vibes, although SO much fog

I only got to see a few DJ's, but everyone played so well that I couldn't stop myself from reviewing =)

Walked in about a half hour into Aaron Simpson's set. As long as I have known my dear Aaron, I have NEVER seen him play like that. Brought tears to my eyes. Jumpin around, screamin, yellin - had everyone else doing the same. Mixes were solid as hell, good programming - not to mention a smile on his face. Wonderful job, Aaronmuthafucking Pimpson.

Migrated upstairs to see Ryle, who was bangin it all to hell. Droppin some old UC cuts even. Threw in a Lincoln Park remix that got everyone singing - I LOVE THAT SHIT. Had us all throwin our horns \m/ ! Even though I'm not usually a big fan of that style of music, I can't help but dance when he's playing. Brings a certain energy to his sets that not everyone can infuse into that genre. Keep it up, Zach - I can't wait to see where this takes you =)

Flave. Nuff said. Rockin shit as usual.

Aphrodite was fun to watch. Aaron warmed up the crowd nicely for him, and he seemed pleased when he got on. I loooooooved that he threw in some old shit - Bodyrock was definitely fun to hear, and some even older Ram tracks. Not as interactive as I like to see, but eh, whatever. What I saw of his set was definitely enjoyable.

I am convinced Seattle has some of the best talent around. Our locals never cease to amaze me.

lol dude, I Was pretty waisted when I got there... bbut I HAD MONEY! haha... IT was a pretty fun show... First time seeing Aphro... I liked some tracks, some I didn't, FIRE! I left half way through
Rob and Zachs set due to tiredness... But they were rippin it up... I was the dude in the Bob Marley beenie dancen my ass off if anyone cares... Repin the Seattle drum and bass tonight! Im tired... ZZzzzZzzzz... Tequilla sunrize ;) peace.

I agree, seattle has some of the best tallent... period!

I got there during aaron simpsons set. Although I'm not a huge fan of d&b, Aaron always gets me going!

I left in the middle of his set to go check out my boy ryle. That was indeed the best set I've ever seen him spin! He played some sick tracks, and yeah, I was definately throwing up the horns to lincoln park.

I stayed upstairs th rest of the night... never saw aphrodite and I didn't really care too much. The music and vibe was too good upstairs. Plus, the sound was great up there too. Much better than I remember of studio b.

Dj flave was, and always is, so fucking sick. From his sax to his foot scratch, to his plathora of diverse and entertaining cuts, he is quickly becoming my favorite local Dj. Got a chance to chill with him for a while too after his set.

Hyperfunk spun after him, and I have to say I was impressed. He kept me upstairs atleast. I have seen him a few times but never paid much attention. He spun some old skool cuts mixed with hard house beats like "You shook me all night long." Gotta love that shit. He did spin ALOT of the same tracks that Ryle spun. But it's cool, he wasn't there.

Left arround 3 tired and sore from too much dancing and too much good music. God Bless the seattle scene!

Aphrodite gives me sex-face everytime I hear him. Loved all the old joints - king of the beats, the superman theme song, x-files... I was the crazy kid dancing w/ the green beany and khaki cargos... hope I didn't throw too many elbows! (I'm sure I did, sorry!)

When I showed up Aaron was destroying the crowd with his shit! The guy had so much energy and everyone was sharing it. Good vibes.

It was such a blast to finally see Aphrodite. That guy made me appreciate drum'n'bass back in the day. And he has maintained himself well. Although I never like it much when the dj is just kinda standing up there with a cig in his mouth barely moving. I would have appreciated a little more of a connection with the crowd... like Aaron had.

Flave blew my socks off. Somehow in all of the time that I've spent going to parties in Seattle, I've never actually seen him live. I always leave too soon, or something... but I have never been so glad that I stayed an extra fifteen minutes at a party. Cause seeing the last of Flaves set made my night perfect.

Awesome party, was very impressed with Ryle's set..good shit. And of course, Aphrodite just tore it up, played ALL of my favorite tracks which kept me on the dance floor from beginning of his set to the end, now I REALLY can't feel my legs!

This was only my 3rd event in Seattle, and the more I get to know the party kidz up here, the more I like 'em.

I also wanted to thank everyone who came up to me and thanked me for taking the time to take pictures and post them. When someone says "Thank you so much! That was such a great picture! I printed it out and put it on my wall!", it makes all the effort worth it.

Ok, so here is my review.

First Arithmatik. This boy knows how to drop some evil dark shit! He had me groovin' from my first step into Studio B. He is kinda cute too :D Played some Dboy tracks, so you gotta love him!

Then Aaron Simpson, well, since everyone on this board thinks that Simpson is a such a GREAT DnB artist, I am not going to step on any toes. Let's just say that once again I WASN'T impressed one bit!

Aphrodite, well let's say he did an all right job. I was hoping he would play some more dark and evil tracks, but he stuck with more of the club beats. He dropped some tracks that were pretty kewl, but over all, I wasn't impressed. I will think twice before going to see him if he comes around to Seattle again.

Then Zach and Noble. WHAT HAPPENED??!!! I was so hoping that these guys would drop an heavy friggin' set, but NNNNOOOOO, the crowd just up and left after Aphrodite, and the crowd that was left were just in a chill mood, so they played a down tempo set. Sorry guys, put that was a MAJOR opportunity for you guys to SHINE on your talent, but sorry to say the crowd just wasn't feeling the heavy, evil shit if you played it. Oh well, next time maybe. Nice job from what I heard.

Shout out's to all I saw that night, so many, I can't even remember.

Sorry I couldn't make it out this night as scheduled since I was soooo tired from working all day, but I did get off early to get a chance to make it but instead crashed out hard from being sooo tired from working. Props to Jordan for filling in for me on such short notice. Thanks Ryle!

Jump up pisses me off. And Im NOT surprised in the least that Aphro didnt interact with the crowd.. Hes a hack, and he has admitted in the past that he plays tracks that have samples and hooks that are easily recognized by even the dumbest raver.

Did he really drop Orignal Nuttah by Shy FX/UK Apachi?

We didn't play a down tempo set... we were closing the nite after a Jump-up set from aphro. don't think to many kids want to hear dark agro music right after an old school jump up set.. and besides, I'm not feelin all that agro stuff much anymore.. kinda all sounds the same.. drum n bass doesn't always have to be dark..

I am not denying the fact that these guys tear it up everytime they go on stage. I guess I am just swayed toward the DARK SIDE of DnB.

Though I have to agree, that the crowd did suck ass!!
