And Baby Anne.... She Played some Tight stuff.... Got a lil 'fluffed' in the end of her set. I had heard Most of the tracks all over town, but she had a few surprises....

I had a blast. I came in to see my future babies momma Jonas on the decks. Playing some wicked tracks there was a lil ass shakin done by me. Not much but I did the head bob to the beat. This is a lot of activity for a fat guy like me. JONAS I LOVE YOU!

I gained a ton of respect for BabyAnne Last night. She absolutely threw the fuck down. The records were AMAZING. I DANCED. It was breif because I quickly found myself out of breath hyperventilating. But I danced for a solid 30 seconds. That's more then I have danced in YEARS.

On top of that she was a really cool person. Very pleasant and a total class act. The fact that she went down and hung out in the crowd after her set was really cool.

Paul and BOOOOOTAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! Ya'll were tearing it up when I was forced to leave. I was upset that I had to leave but one of my friends was too intoxicated and we were forced to leave. I really wished I could have stayed for the entire set. What I did see was energetic and sick as hell. Big smiles to be had by all!

The Vibe last night was amazing. A lot of friendly old faces to be reunited with. A lot of new faces that it was a pleasure to meet. I think it was my bright red shirt that just drew people to me. I looked like a giant red Apple. Maybe they were just hungry.

For all my old friends it was amazing I got to see you. I wish we all had more time, and could spent more quality time together!

For all my new friends I'm honored to have met you and hope to see you again!

Want to thank Andrew for putting up the rawking ass show lastnight. The vibe was thhhhhick and everyone was having a blast!! I was enjoying Baby Anne's set. Always throwing dark ass electro shit. Shit was off da chaiiiiiiin!! Lil Mz Booty and I kept most of the crowd until 3:30 ish and we thought we blended really well as far as keeping shit FUNKY until the end of the night. Yo Crissy, I had a blast playing with you and hopefully there will be more opportunity for us to play again. My othe half Nasty, did a propa job opening the night with heavy and nasty ass bass, love yo shit ma man!! (can't wait to fuck some shit up on NYE) And oh yeah, there were lots of hundreds and fifties everywhere lastnight and it was grrrrrreat!!

I am probably going to get some hate mail or posts against me for stating this but, I was not too enthused to watch Baby Anne. She did not seem to be happy playing up there. The one time she threw her hands up that I saw was okay but it was nothing like the energy that Sidestep and Lil Miss Booty gave. I did like some of what Baby Anne played but I think if she was more resceptive to the crowd it would have made the night better.

I am not complaining I just wanted to share my review.

i think that Baby Anne did have a lot of enthusiasm, she just isn't one to throw her hands up and jump around. not all djs jump up and down when playing. i thought it was cool that she came out into the crowd after her set and chatted with people, instead of jetting off when done. that comment isn't one to draw up a fight, it was respectful and not condescending.

Stage presence is a large part of the DJ package…playing to the crowd…getting them pumped up…
It’s another skill set that differentiates good djs from great djs

Could you imagine the guys from Kiss playing a gig to a sold-out crowd …without make-up…standing still…staring aimlessly out into the crowd

An audience can usually forgive mediocre spinning skills if the DJ has incredible stage presence...but it’s difficult to forgive someone who has great spinning skills but obviously does not appreciate being there…it can be a big downer

I don't recall being her being overly smug, etc...then again, I spent most of my time visiting with the folks on the floor...good times...good times!!

The mistake I made was leaving too early...*kicks self in ass*

Oh okay, I did not mean to imply a DJ needs to jump up and down. I just got the impression from her that she was not enjoying herself up there. I guess some people express it differently

Then again, could've just been me.

Ok, let’s see…

I showed up around 10:30, opened my bar tab, and headed to the couches in the back to smoke a clove and relax a bit. Several people came back and hung out.
About 30 minutes later I looked out onto the floor and noticed that it was beginning to fill up. So I made my way to the ramp to lurk for a bit…chatted with jgotti and tony…and headed back to the bar.
After sharing some drinks I got out onto the floor…it was then that everything seemed to really pick up.
There was a lady there that was tearing the floor to pieces…she was amazing to watch.
I saw a lot of familiar faces, which is always a treat. (btw…ladypetite…really is!..*smile*)
I know I said hi to a lot of people and took some pictures…even helped calm down a couple of near altercations…the thing that sucks for me is that I am REALLY bad a remembering names. I need to take my palm pilot with me so I can jot them down. I see a lot of the same people and I feel like such a tool for not knowing their names.
Anyway, I danced my ass off until about 3:00-ish. I got a flier about an afterhours…so I took off to go check it out. The venue was cool…lights, tv’s, etc…but there was hardly anyone there. So I sacked out on the couch for a little bit…chatted with some people…then headed towards the door.
I made it in around 6:00 a.m.

Another fun night in the land of port…
