Wow, I must say the first night of Devotion at its new home was off da hook! Thanks to all the familiar faces who came out to support. This new venue definately has the homey feel to it like Cheers did.

All the dj's rocked it! Tomas, Ben, James, and Mitchell...thank you so much. I hope you guys keep up the good work. Sorry about the mixer issue...we will be bringing our own mixer from here on out.

What are your comments? Did anyone have a good time?

Shit it was off the hook. Crowded, and that for a first timer. I really liked the location, people can sit and talk, or dance on the dancefloor.

In other words a cool location. More peeps should definitely check it out. I have the feeling this place is going to be boomin' on wednesdays, I love it.

I wanna thank Shannon, Miko & Friends, Darius, Tracy and anybody I might not have mentioned for showing support! Thanks guys!

And Landis it was cool about the mixer, old skool, no gain, bass, mid, high he he.

Hope to get back to this location somewhere in the future, just hit me up!

im not sure if it was noticeable but i tried to have the bass turned up on the main eq rack.. plus after i finally found it there were main knobs for the bass and treble that i tried hard to turn up but not distort.. i think the bassbins were ok if they would have been turned up, but they really need some new towers than those crackly ones hangin .. speaking of which i hit my head on the monitors like 5 times! ouch! ..think we should just rent the jedeye system every week and wire it in with the red cap's bassbins.. idea? yes?

i was likin the setup and the light were great.. i think that was totally great for the first run out, but dang people shoulda stayed a little later! tell ya friends we'll be seein ya all next week..

I am sorry some of you experienced some "overly friendly" individules. I can sympothize with your situations, as I have felt equally awkward at times. Unfourtunately for some, the Red Cap is located right next door to Boxxes (a gay bar). Please don't let this be a deterrent to come out on Wednesday nights. As with Cheers, no discrimination is involved with Devotion at the RedCap, thus a mixed crowd most likely will be attending.

You are ALL beautiful, and I hope I didn't offend anyone with that statement. *winks

As for my overall experience with the night...vibe was very good. I look forward to next week.

Landis, I apologize if I was rude, but NO is a strong word. If people don't listen to that word then its time to leave in which I did. I don't want to be a problem or cause a problem. But when a bunch of strait people invade a predominately gay friendly club, there are bound to be some issues. I've never had a problem at any of the locations you guys have been at till this night. I will totally give the spot a second chance, but if the same acts occur, I won't be coming back.

I did have fun while I was there with the eception of the overly friendly patrons. I have not had that problem at other establishments in the same area. It is just that you might be able to get more accomplishe by talking to the club and staff since you are the person running the night then myself or others would be able to get done. I will come out again.

This bar is a great place, yup you will get hit on, but isnt that fun cuz if you dont like it you can really turn it around in many ways shapes and forms and thats what life is about being creative.....all that matters is the beats!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! !!!!! !!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!!

PLUR, right? U = understanding the differences in the regular crowd there.

the week in question was like what, the second week? the guy hitting on you maybe wasn't there the week before & had no idea what it means that "devotion" has taken up home in his regular haunt. give it a month, they'll get the hint that we're a mixed - preference crowd, not a predominantly gay crowd. i would compare this to like when women visit italy, greece... the social norms are different in different communities. i'm not saying you should LIKE it, but PLUR goes a long way in realizing the ways we operate in our own community may not mirror that of the others out there. no doubt it's frustrating, though. you've now experienced what it's like to be a straight female in a predominantly straight/mainstream club in anytown, USA, btw... this stuff happens to women constantly & we just hold our ground :)

Must say thank you to all the amazing peeps who came out. Vibe was amazing again.... The dancefloor is finally happening. Altar's/decorations will definately be in the works from now on.

To the dj's: Mycrokozm and Protocol 7 you guys were awesome, we'll have you back. Scott (S.Cobelco)....you work has progressed into a deeper level. Im impressed. Rei and Mortal Grey (Christian)....all I can say is WOW...way to finish off the evening.

You can't tune it yourself for the very same reason that you don't borrow someones car and change the radio settings.

FYI: Really sorry for the interruptions this last Wednesday. We thought the mixer power was cutting out or something, but it turned out to be the mains coming loose. It's always the easy things. Thank you for dealing with it so graciously. Hope everyone had fun!

well, the main problem that i think could be checked out is the monitors behind the dj's head are getting run too hot..

also it sounded to me that the compressors (hi and low) werent set right cuz 4 big ass bassbins should sound a hell of a lot better than what those are doin..

its hard to give ya a full diagnosis on this cuz dude wouldnt let me examine it (i dont think he was interested in the issue)... but have your man check it cuz i guarantee u it aint 100% right on..

I think the DJ set up on the floor works a lot better. We'll work on trying to suspend it there or something so we can do it more often.
Everything flowed really smooth right till the end until some Jackasses tried to start some kind of trouble outside when they left. You all know who you are. Don't come back. Especially the tough guy who's every response to people is "What the Fuck did you say to me?!?!"

I had a few technical difficulties for the first half hour with the equipment which killed my vibe but I was up and running in no time!

Oh and a word of advise to whoever passed us the fliers while we were playing, I have one thing to say to you! "Have some class man! You don't think we know what's up, It's our job to know who's who and where!" I refuse to go to that party now because of that incident Biotch!

On the another note Sparxx was starting things off right with their set and wish I could've stayed but had to leave for an interview at 9:00 the next day, so I apologize for the abrupt closure last night everybody! And I caught the last half of Elijahs set which I was diggin!
