I have to be honest, the last several times I've seen Doc I can't say I've really been into it, a bit too heady and big room, not enough wiggle.

I thought it was going down that same road Friday, but around 12:30 or so Doc decides to flip it up a bit and throws down two and half hours of straight up jackin house. Classic...I now understand the hype.

Shit was getting worked out on the dance floor as well...I don't think it began to even thin out till well after 2:30.

On a slightly different note...did anyone else find the air unbearably oppressive in there. No offense to my cancer stick smoking brethren, but I for one would love it if Portland went no smoking like New York or SF. Does anyone know if it has ever come up as a public referendum???

I agree that Doc impressed me more this Friday than he has collectively over the last few years. I had a great time. Doc played numerous tracks that had me scratching my head and wondering WTF.

Non smoking legislation is being thrown about on the regular down in salem, it'll happen eventually, and as far as tiny spots like 1201 I'm especially anxious for it.

If you want to smoke at a club, you should thrown into a little waiting room with no ventialation, and be forced to breath your own cancererous ffilth. It's pathetic that this country even allows public smoking anywhere. Fuck Off Smokers! Take your cancer and go die on a different dancefloor than the one that healthy people enjoy getting down on.
