I had an awesome time playing records at Lara and Dan's wedding. Everyone there was totally chill, the free drinks were mighty tasty, the sound was off the hook, the bride and groom were so nice, the food from Cedar's was delicious and the sound was off the hook.

I think any sort of costume would do. The Space Virgins know how to party and they know how to throw a party. I highly recommend people check this out. It's definitely the place to be after the Capitol Hill block party earlier in the day.

I joined the Space Virgins because they threw, without a doubt, the most kickass parties I'd ever been to. Great dance music, comfy chillout spaces with lots of pillows, great eye candy, fun people and just a welcoming cool vibe.

And these folks wear some of the most outrageous costumes. When in doubt, go silver, shiny and skimpy. Check out photos from last year:

There will be AERIALISTS and BELLY DANCERS. There's a tent maze for you to crawl around in with your friends and hang. Three bars. A fiber optic light forest. Tons of cool s***. Hope to see you all there!

The Space Virgins are a Burning Man theme camp (technically the Space Virgins Arts Collective).

The Space Virgins are a fun, open-minded, frighteningly smart group of artists/professionals/libertarians who look forward to regularly throwing off all the crap that daily Earthly life and work heap on us, getting in a sexy costume (preferably skimpy, shiny and littered with blinkies), surrounding themselves with friends and dancing all night.

They may also be seen lying on a carpeted, pillow-strewn floor in cuddle puddles. This process of recapturing why we love to live and dance and hang with friends is known as RE-VIRGINIZATION.

Oh--they have a particular fondness for whiskey, black lights and trance music, and they take their partying VERY SERIOUSLY.

Without hesitation, they throw the best f***ing parties I've ever been to (and I don't just say that because I'm one of them now).

And 8 hours of non-stop music in three different rooms!!
