www.sirkutz.com

Available on the new site is two mixes; Sickness Inside, and now you can own you very own copy of "DRUM N BREAKZ".

It has been two years since my last mix “Sickness Inside”. Since then I’ve been collecting a sub-genre of nuskool breaks I like to call “Drum n Breakz. People argue that it’s just nuskool breakbeats, but these beats have an undeniable dnb influence i.e. the samples, twisted bass lines, and the production of the drum loops. All of the tracks on this cd are what I feel to be the essence of this sound. Enjoy Drum n Breakz!

Feel free to give feedback about the site and mix! Thanks to everyone who helped me accomplished this :)

For bookings email me @ sirkutz@sirkutz.com, or check www.inhouseproductions.net

this has gotta be one of the best nuskool, ahem, i mean drum 'n' breaks demos from a local dj i have heard. sir kuts definitely put some great work into this one.

the mixing and flow are great overall. i just have a few points of constructive criticism that i only feel compelled to give because 1) the cd is so good, and 2) i think i have a similar mixing style and taste in tracks, and maybe you will find them helpful. or maybe you will disagree with me, which is ok too :) i found the phasing and transitions between a couple of the tracks to be a little odd. one example i can recall is when the blending of tracks was not entirely evident until the breakdown, almost as though the channel volumes were cut in/out at the beginning of the breakdown rather than the new track being brought in more prominently at an earlier point. also, i liked most of the tracks, there were just a few that seemed out of place, most notably the last one. but, that is just personal preference. anyways, these are just my opinions. obviously there are different mixing styles, and mine may not be the best one, heh!

in any case, its an excellent cd! i had the pleasure of hearing sir kutz live for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was great as well. i am not sure how we have not crossed paths before. but, hopefully we will again soon!
