SET TIMES & ARTIST INFO FOR SATURDAY JULY 30TH
Lusine: Live PA (Ghostly International)
9pm to 10pm
www.lusineweb.com
Lusine is the brainchild of Jeff McIlwain, and is the moniker for his visceral, melodic vision of abstract electronic music. Having attended Cal Arts to study 20th century electronic music and sound design for music and film, he first began creating his lush interpretation of IDM many years ago. Since then, he has recorded for labels such as !K7/MAS, Hymen and Delikatessen, all aside from his prolific output for pioneering American IDM label Isophlux. A veteran of URB magazine’s "Next 100", series, Lusine is one of the foremost American producers in the abstract field and an artist with a boundless future in his craft...Armed with prismatic shards of processed electrobeats and nighttime dub-infused echoes of Detroit's past, he's leading an international aural assault with a solid bounty of releases both domestic and international.

Jacob London: DJ Set (Classic / U-Freqs)
8pm to 9pm
www.jacoblondon.com
In 1993 Bob Hansen and Dave Pezzner collaborated to produce very inferior industrial music under the name Vitus Dance. Over the next few years their productions became less and less inferior, and eventually they released tracks on respected labels like Stay True and Derrick Carter’s world famous Classic Records. These days, the Londoners do squid:records, a sub-label of esteemed Viva Recordings, and are world-renowned for their off-kilter funk sound. You can be sure that whatever Jacob London have planned for the future will definitely involve ignoring the rulebooks, not taking themselves too seriously, and capitalizing upon the occasional sheep noise.

Mori: Live PA (isdiff – Portland)
7pm to 8pm
www.mori.nu
Mori is Brandon Fessler and Taylor Gehrts of Portland, Oregon. The sound of Mori's music varies from moments of peaceful sweeping sine waves to intricate digital rhythms. A combination of technical sound design with melodic structures, Mori's music is always experimental yet listenable. Besides producing music, Brandon and Taylor also help run Isdiff records. Their first EP was released september 2004, on Isdiff.

Kristina Childs: DJ Set (Plasmodium / Decibel)
6pm to 7pm
www.plasmodium.net
As well as being a guest DJ at many clubs in and around the Seattle area, Kristina Childs has played in Frankfurt, Bogotá, Medellin, Dallas, New York, Portland, and Coeur D¹Alene. She has held residencies at Seattle clubs Contour, Habana's, Art Bar, and is a current resident of Seattle club nights Perfect Hit, Shameless, and Grace. She runs Plasmodium Radio.

Nordic Soul: Live PA (Dreaming in Stereo / Decibel)
5pm to 6pm
www.dbfestival.com
The solo moniker for Decibel Festival’s brainchild Sean Horton (Db founder, director and curator). Nordic Soul’s production embodies both the soulful/rhythmic sounds of Detroit (Horton’s upbringing) with the chilly, electronic textures/melodies of Northern Europe (Horton’s heritage). Nordic Soul pushes the boundaries of electronic music through highly technical production standards in an effort to fuse genres seamlessly into a format that defines categorization. Nordic Soul’s production ranges from hip hop to electro pop to blitzkrieg techno, while visiting all points in-between. Since Nordic Soul’s inception in 2003 he has opened for many touring artists in the Northwest, includeing Funkstroung, Luomo, Boom Bip, Richard Devine, Phonecia, Electric Birds, Proem, Four Tet, Matthew Dear, Lusine, T. Raumschmiere and Derrick May. Nordic Soul also performs with the Seattle based improv/electronica quartet Synth Club, which features Reggie Watts, Steven Scalfati and Dan Spils.

Eddie: DJ Set (Decibel)
4pm to 5pm
Seattle native DJ and drummer Eddie (Eddie Nonog) likes rain, drums for Mesh, and started collecting records when he was seven instead of spending his allowance on candy. He still has every record he ever purchased. His first gig was at the legendary Rebar with KEXP’s Riz Rollins in the early ‘90s. He hasn’t stopped spinning since.

KJ Sawka: Live PA
3pm to 4pm
www.kjsawka.com
Closer to a digital drum machine than you could ever imagine, yet created in the most "analog" way possible - with two arms, two feet, and a pair of sticks - KJ Sawka is dropping jaws with new techniques for the drum, sustaining incredibly intense drum and bass tempos for entire shows. KJ Sawka has toured the US twice in the improvisitory dance band Siamese, where the innovative drummer wowed fans with his complex acoustic sound completely devoid of programmed samples and loops, garnering the attention of Michael Shrieve of Santana, world-renown jazz guitarist Bill Frisell, prolific forward-thinking producer Amon Tobin, and opening for drum'n'bass pioneers LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad.

Greg Skidmore: DJ Set (PG Series / Decibel)
2pm to 3pm

Paul Edwards: DJ Set (PG Series / Decibel)
1pm to 2pm
www.pauledwards.net
Paul Edwards is a NorthWest disciple of the holy trinity of electronic music: DJ'ing, producing, and promoting. His studio work is an attempt to re-create the emotions one naturally associates with known sounds using unique tones. His DJ sets fit the time and location of wherever they fall, and are always full of choice cuts. Paul is the co-founder of The PG Series as well as a Decibel Festival director.

Greg Jaspen: DJ Set (KEXP)
12:15pm to 1pm
www.kexp.org
Greg is the host of KEXPs Friday Morning variety show which mixes up rock, electronic, hip hop, jazz, dub, and music from all over the world in both it's traditional and modern forms. Prior to his work at KEXP Greg was a DJ at WTUL in New Orleans from (1995-1999). Greg has recently opened for Loscil, Strategy, Nudge, Codebase, Dino Felipe, Drumattica, Finesse, as well as being a Judge at the 2005 Seattle Laptop Battle.

m.O: Live PA (2005 Seattle Laptop Battle Champion)
11:30am to 12:15pm

It would be awesome if everyone who has any interest in the Northwest electronic music scene came out for this so the Seattle music community could finally see firsthand that there is a growing interest in the Seattle/Northwest for electronic music.

If you're reading this, than you are a member of Northwest Tekno forum. If you're are a member of this forum, than you have an interest in NW electronic music. So come out on July 30th and 31st and REPRESENT!!
