first let me start by introducting myself
my name is annie i live in Slidell Louisiana ok so im not good at this lol
anyways i called and spoke to deadletter this morning (hi again) and i was telling him that i know of some people here that would like to help you all. he was telling me about letter that i could write or my friends could write to yall, but my phone cut out and i didn't get all the information on where or how to send thease letters. also i would like to know what else we can do? i read about some kandi in silver and black with the names of the kids on em? i know of at least 2 people who would do that including myself i'm not worried about the cost of beads. anything we can do we are willing. my heart goes out to you all.

A good place to get beads is JoAnne fabrics or Michaels crafts. Buy stretchy string as well.

dreamraver, phoneix, and myself (LA ravers) would like to make kandi for the family and friends. now i can't talk for dream and phoneix but as for myself i will buy make and ship. i just need to know where to send it to. :-D

awesome! yeah there is a joanne across the street from my work that's where i am now on my lunch which is in about well now or 30 mins from now i was gonna walk over there and see what they have. a po box number would be great!

i'd recommend sending an email to nwtekno member "deadletter." he/she seems to be coordinating a lot of stuff for the kids as they recover elsewhere.

dunno how good of an idea it is to send anything to random emails proffered in this thread. lol

but seriously, it's not about you, but damn people - give it up for a woman whose living room and kitchen are fuckered and she's thinking of our pacific northwest asses.

that's classy.

ARG! ok so i went to joanne's and they have been closed since the hurricane. sooooooo i have called 2 other places and found one open after i get off work yay! i'll be makeing the kandi tonight and hopefuly sending it off by tom. afternoon no later then friday. i would like to get thease to you as fast as possible so you can have them at any services

5 bracelttes with each name on it (5 for deacon 5 for sushi ect.)
1 nacklace with each name on it

if you think i should make more please tell me so i can get the right amount on my way home tonight.

I know how tedius it can get making kandee lol so that sounds great for now. If you happen to feel like makeing more aftert that then go for it!

that really is cool. especially considering what ya'll went through down there to be thinking about us up here. i guess what "goes around, comes around" really works. i know a lot of people, myself included, that did do volunteer hurricane relief work up here ....just because it was the right thing to do.

anyways, it's so nice of you. i know i've been really touched by the outpouring of support from so many people all across the states & the globe that have contacted the board since Saturday to let us know that they're thinking of us. it's really great to know ya'll care & that we're not forgotten up here in this little corner of the world. thxs.
