That is the best word to describe this show last night at the show box sodo. I'm pretty sure most people there would agree. hands-down Rusko threw down. last year I missed this show at the sodo but this year made up for it. the stage design was sick! I liked the big old R U S K O display they had onstage. Definitely cool look. It reminded me of the Steve Aoki Setup at the Paramount Theatre. I got there a little bit late to hear the opener because the headliner played a little on the earlier side. For some reason he did not want to play until 2 AM. Bummer but hey.. I enjoyed it anyways.

Like I say every time… USC events does a great job at putting on top-notch shows! Thanks for bringing it the good DJs.

The opening band, Nerve, started out with some dubstep, and then they... Been a while since I went to a concert type event and it was pretty fun. The opening band, Nerve, started out with some dubstep, and then they played some drum and bass songs which was a very pleasant surprise. Live drumming is always exciting. Good times!

After an intermission Dj Shadow came out and made a small speech about how he had toured 170 shows with the visual setup he had, which looked like a mini deathstar. He seems like a very genuine, humble chill person. Played some really awesome beats that included some of his anthems, along with drum and bass and a little bit of dubstep. Seemed like quite a few old schoolers came out for the show which made for a generally chill vibe.

Actually made nice with some of the staff there which was another bonus, especially because of less than stellar experiences in the past at the Showbox. Beers were kinda expensive (6 bux!) but they did have some new microbrews that I had never seen before. It was really fun to order Hoppy Bitches! ;)

Show ended pretty early, only a little after midnight, but I definitely got a pretty good dance on. Legs and feet are pretty sore now.
