It’s that time of year again to enjoy some killer beats in the great outdoors! Tech Trek is celebrating it’s fourth year with 2 bass packed stages and some beautiful land to camp on. Be respectful of the land while attending, which helps Tech Trek happen every year! We will be providing space to camp, secure parking, food vendors, and live music artists during the event. Camping is included and encouraged if attending multiple days. Bring your swim suit, sunscreen, shade and hiking boots. The land is private, safe and secure, with easy access from the main road. Expect warm and dry weather on the site with plenty of trails as well as open space to frolic. We are blessed to have this opportunity to create a truly welcome and inviting event and we hope that everyone attending will be conscious of that fact. ON SAT NIGHT/SUN MORNING August 12 2012 WE WILL LOOK TO THE STARS AS THE PERSEIDS METEOR SHOWER WIL DOMINIATE THE THE NIGHT SKY.
"When we say August 12 or 13, we mean the morning hours after midnight – not that night. The waning crescent moon will rise around midnight, only somewhat obscuring the Perseid display during the shower’s actual peak. The moonlight shouldn’t be so overwhelming as to ruin the show. These typically fast and bright meteors radiate from a point in the constellation Perseus the Hero. You don’t need to know Perseus to watch the shower because the meteors appear in all parts of the sky. The Perseids are considered by many people to be the year’s best shower, and often peak at 50 or more meteors per hour in a dark sky. The Perseids tend to strengthen in number as late night deepens into midnight, and typically produce the most meteors in the wee hours before dawn. These meteors are often bright and frequently leave persistent trains. Starting at mid to
late evening on the nights of August 11/12 and 12/13, watch for the
Perseid meteors to streak across this short summer night from late night until dawn, with only a little interference from the waning crescent moon."

Since being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's, Audio Injection has been hooked. At the early age of 15 he started Djing and playing out at local underground events and raves around the Southern California area. You would find him spinning various styles from house, acid, & techno to hardcore techno.
After years of Djing he then decided to learn to produce his own music, which landed him releases on techno labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, & local label Droid Recordings. Since being associated with local event production group Droid Behavior in 2003, you can find him as a resident at the infamous Interface warehouse events as well as a regular producer for Droid Recordings along with Drumcell (Co-Founder of Droid Behavior). He has also played together with Drumcell at Berghain, Berlin in 2010 & 2011 as well as playing gigs in Athens, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Cologne, Wales, and various gigs throughout the U.S. and Mexico.
In early 2011 Audio Injection started a project called 'Truncate' which focuses on the deeper, darker, and more raw side of techno. His Truncate releases have been getting support from big players such as, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Jonas Kopp, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, Dvs1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Silent Servant, Technasia, and many more.
With releases & remixes on labels such as Droid, CLR, Electric Deluxe, Sleaze, BluFin, Enemy, Impact Mechanics, Ground Factory and many more, Audio Injection continues to shape his own sound as well as collaborate with Drumcell to release more mind bending techno, putting Los Angeles & Droid Recordings on the techno map.

San Francisco based artist Roommate (Justin McCauley) has a musical career that can be described as prolific and ever changing. His tireless efforts in both production and DJ'ing have currently brought him to the forefront of the worldwide bass music community. With over a decade of solid DJ'ing and countless original production releases, you can be sure Roommate has secured his title on an international scale.
Beginning his musical quest with guitar lessons at the age of 11, Roommate has since developed his craft to an undeniable style and fashion by intergrating both organic and electronic sounds. After self releasing his first solo album (Dubfunk vol1) in 2003, he quickly gained musical notiriety in the U.S. counter culture. When dubstep first hit the U.S. streets, Roommate was quick to find a love and understanding for the music and begin production. Joining forces with L.A. based artist and long time friend No Thing, the two formed another key part of dubstep history; Babylon System. Roommate / Babylon System contributed many of the early U.S. dubstep releases such as "50 Blocks Away"," Examination of TIme", and "Loaded" to name a few. After a slew of quality releases, Roommate was sky rocketed into the international limelight. Years of global touring followed with undying passion and intensity at every show.
Co founding the rip roaring label Hollow Point Recordings with friend and artist SPL was another huge step for Roommate. Gaining confindence from consistant releases and great sales, Roommate used Hollow Point to push the boundaries of sound and express his musical tastes. Following Hollow Point, Roommate branched out to creat two new musical imprints. King Dubbist and Avocaudio are Roommate's latest forward thinking incarnations. Focusing on huge vibes and stellar production, these labels span from Dubstep to Trip-hop to Reggae. Fusing and encompassing Roommate's broad and compelling love for musical freshness.
Currently, Roommate is still touring avidly all over the world and spreading his custom art everywhere he goes. He is focusing on releasing two full length Dubstep/Reggae and Trip hop albums in the near future.
