The Beat Council is at it again! Welcome to a new type of event, where performing musicians mingle with DJs in an intimate and comfortable environment. Come fuel up on the tasty teas and splendid beats!

I'm not even sure how to answer this. What exactly is "burning man music"? EQlateral are frequent participants in Burning Man festivities.... if that qualifies them as burning man music, then so be it.

9:00 - 10:30 :: Muad'Deep :: downtempo and Asian trip hop
10:30 - 11:30 :: EQlateral :: LIVE cello, bass, violin, vox, beats and fx
11:30 - 12:30 :: Baba James :: original and customized afro funk, bhangra and mash-ups
12:30 - 2:00 :: Crispy :: progressive, psytrance and breaks

Baba James and EQlateral will also jamming with the DJs throughout the evening as inspiration strikes them to do so.

Besides the fact that Crispy is one of my most favorite Northwest DeeJay's, this new series of events sound great. I wish that we had a super fast bullet train connecting Seattle and Portland. I would love to come.

It ain't super fast, but it'll get us back in time for the thing Saturday... that's my plan, at least. You should make it your plan, too! Then we can get drunk on the train and argue semantics on animal classifications. ;-)

If you haven't seen the amazing Oseao remodel yet, NOW IS THE TIME! It has become quite a beautiful venue.... nice lights, art (that hasn't changed), furniture, and the great tea and coffee selections. Toss in some wonderful musics and you have a recipe for one swell evening.
