Bubble Bobble Main Stage:
-----------------------------------
(Welcome our headliners, founders of the west coast electronic music scene!)

*Robbie Hardkiss
Sunburn
San Fran, CA- Austin, TX
-Along with brothers Scott and Gavin, Robbie is an original member of the world renowned Hardkiss family. Based in San Francisco, these dj/remixer/producers helped pioneer the American electronic music scene with their early club nights and outdoor events. Between parties they begged, borrowed and charged their way toward building a recording studio and starting a record label; and in 1991 Hardkiss Music was born. Their 12 inch singles quickly attracted attention around the world, and the boys became known as originators of the west coast sound. They blended funky beats with psychedelic sounds and heart breaking melodies to create their own unique version of dance music. In 1995, their legendary status within the world of electronic music was solidified with the release of the double album "Delusions of Grandeur."
All the while, Robbie was becoming one of America's busiest touring djs. He's played as far away as Hong Kong, South Africa, Mexico City, the U.K. and Europe. He's held residencies in San Francisco and Chicago at Nikita, Spundae, and Smartbar. He's played every major city and almost every major club in America and has become known for his funkin' partied up sound. He mixes house, breaks, disco, techno electro, whatever... from any time and any place. "As long as it's funky."
Robbie's also been busy remixing. Known for his eclectic, funky style; he's reworked songs by Elton John, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Freestylers, Lords of Acid, Q-Burn's Abstract Message, The Sandals, The Grid, Spacetime Continuum, Lovesky and others.
In 2000 Robbie partnered up with fellow San Francisco dj Laron to record music under the name Boozy and Swan. Sunburn Recordings released their club hit "Champagne Beat Boogie", which charted number 1 in Mixer Magazine and was featured on the soundtrack of the Sony Pictures' movie "Groove." They followed that up with another extra funky Sunburn single, "Don't Touch That."
Robbie also recently teamed with Orlando dj/producer extraordinaire, Q-Burn's Abstract Message, for the '2DRUNKPUNKSonFUNK' dj tour. They toured the states spinnin' records, spillin' cocktails and generally living up to the name of the tour. Once they got over the hangover, they got into the studio and produced the first 2DRUNKPUNKSonFUNK single. Look for it on a label near you soon.
Robbie also has just signed with Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon's London based record label, 'Classic.' The first release, "Everything is Changing", 2003 and features remixes by Derrick Carter, Q-Burn's Abstract Message, Brett Johnson, and dj Spettro. That's a funky little package!

*Gavin Hardkiss
Hawke/ Six Degrees/ Sunburn
San Fran, CA -San Diego, CA
-Gavin Hardkiss has been producing records and Djing for the past 10 years. He has created music that has come to define the trends and styles of the day. A diverse DJ with equal aptitude in spinning house, tribal or breaks, he has come to be indelibly linked with a mystical form of electronic dance music that globally represents San Francisco.
As one-third of the famed Hardkiss trio (with "brothers" Scott and Robbie Hardkiss), Gavin helped to
create and encourage a spirited, psychedelic approach to music and life with genre-defying songs and DJ sets. The Hardkiss label released various singles by the likes of Hawke, God Within, Rabbit-in-the-Moon and Symbiosis and one stunning compilation, Delusions of Grandeur, in the mid-'90s and serves as a veritable blueprint for its successors, one that continues to be referenced and admired by artists and fans throughout the world.
Of the three Hardkiss brothers, it is Gavin who has stuck closest to home in San Francisco, where he recently signed a recording deal for his band Hawke with Six Degrees Records. The album Heatstroke was released to critical claim. The San Francisco Chronicle noted that the album was full of "sunsoaked optimism, a dance album to brighten a winter of discontent."
Discerning UK dance magazine Muzik called the Hawke debut album Namaquadisco "Mind-humpingly awesome." They elaborated that, "[Namaquadisco] achieves the magic trick of sounding like all the best bits of your favorite records while simultaneously being so individual." The San Francisco Chronicle called Namaquadisco "An essential, emotional journey through club styles." Heatstroke has a similar affinity for funk and genre defiance executed with a heightened sense of a globally groove-conscious society. Its world-wise rhythms and melodic ideas make it a natural fit for Hawke's new home at Six Degrees. The album's 12" single "Party People ("We're Gonna Change the World)," features the spirited vocal talents of one Sir Adamsmasher, and champions a spirit of uniting to create positive difference and peace. On July 4, 2001, "IndepenDance Day," advance copies of the single were disseminated to 20 DJs around the States to spin in a simultaneous message of peace and positivity. In this time of strife in the world this is a simple yet powerful idea that caught the imagination of DJs such as Doc Martin and Danny Howells and resulted in tens of thousands of dancefloor revelers across the country hearing the song's message that day. The 12" single, rich with infectious guitar groove and an insistent beat, has been remixed by mates Rabbit-in-the-Moon, MODA, Red Moon, Lovesky Q-Burns + Huggy, the Freeloaders and Robbie Hardkiss.
Hardkiss also performs A&R duties for the Sunburn label where he releases music my like-minded
producers. Check out www.sunburn.org
Gavin Hardkiss is a welcome anomaly in the electronic dance music world. One of his most distinguishing traits is his fierce determination to create music that is durable and lasting. His efforts are focused towards creating classic music that can be enjoyed for generations.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. It's a random check and they also base it on how old someone looks. You'll find the same thing with bars when you're 21.
Folks should *always* have ID on them, raves or not. But there is always the parental consent form for those under 16 on seattlepartykids.com

Yeah...I definitely don't look 19 at all. I blend in well with the younger ones. I got ID now, so I never have to worry....unless I misplace it.

Looking a little more simple that last year's flyer so far, not that it's a bad thing. More Nintendo era than last year's slicker, shiny look.

Its going to be full page too. Snuggs did all the art on it by hand then colored in the computer. I told him Nintendo feel so ya, it fits the bill
Still some changes to be made but it will be pretty close finished.
