Dennis Tran, better known as Tazix, has headlined every major event in Vancouver since 2001. As Vancouver’s poster-boy for Trance, House, and Progressive it’s no wonder that he always has people talking about his consistently party-rocking sets long after they’re over. This driven performer has been spreading the sounds of bouncy Progressive and groovy House across his fair city for some time and his musical passion can only be surpassed by his energy and charisma. When these traits come together for one of his sets, there can be only one way to describe his performance: infectious.
His career has seen him play sold-out shows across Canada and the U.S., never failing to excite audiences. Working hand-in-hand with Twisted Productions and Cargo Events has long earned him the respect and admiration of the Vancouver club scene and his positive attitude has earned the respect of promoters across the board. He’s played alongside the industry’s finest, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Roger Sanchez, Benny Benassi, Fedde Le Grand, Pete Tong, Tall Paul, Johan Gielen, Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, John ‘00’ Flemming, Graham Gold, and Tommy Lee among them.
Tazix has also released multiple compilation CDs for Twisted and Heineken and his mixes have been played internationally on well-recognized radio shows like Lisa Lashes’ Lashed Digital and Johan Gielen’s In the Mix.
Playing furious driving sets, however, is not the limit of this DJ’s talent. He has been producing avidly over the last 18 months resulting in several original productions. His remix for Talla 2XLC’s “No in Between”, collaborations “Don’t Break It” and “Jet Fuel” with Allya, “Follow Me” with Nick Sentience, and the storming new Tidy anthem “Raindrop” with Benjamin Leung have all been well-received in Canada and are making the rounds with top DJs the world over. “Raindrop” has been featured on the Hard Dance Awards compilation and received rave reviews in iDJ and MixMag. Be sure not to miss this charismatic and exhilarating performer as he is sure to capture your heart and captivate your ears!

Allya
Affiliations: Twisted, Cargo, G+G
Web:www.myspace.com/allyaofficial
This is the section where artists or their marketing team drone on for a few paragraphs about just how great said artist is. How so-and-so started DJ’ing at the EXCEPTIONAL young age of some’teen, was influenced by ‘Sashmin Van Corstenfold’, purchased their first mixer and turntables and learned at home ALL BY THEMSELVES. Big deal. There’re a million DJs out there - so many in fact that they could be considered pests or vermin in today’s society. Allya’s not claiming to be the ‘pioneer’ of some new sub-genre of Trance. He’s NOT ‘leading the way forward for a new generation of producers in Hard Dance’. Give it a break; if you’re playing or producing it, then somebody else influenced you first. Our hats off to the real pioneers – we all know who they are and bless them for bringing us to the present.
So what is it that makes Allya so much better than the rest? Truth be told, I haven’t a bloody clue. I don’t know if it’s the frantic pacing of his music, his blending of different genres, the funny faces he makes during buildups, his sense of personal hygiene, or the way he waves his hands around like a raving lunatic. He’s either an eccentric conductor who believes he is completely in control of the crowd or he’s a mad-man. Either way, if you DO happen to catch him, you may actually get your money’s worth. Let’s be honest, a lot of people can hop online, purchase the latest and greatest and mix it live with little difficulty. What Allya brings is ENERGY. Sure if you catch him on Day 20 of a 15 gig tour across 3 time zones, you may find him a little the worse for wear; but you can be damn sure that he’ll still bring his A-game on stage.
It would be rubbish to say that no one performs and entertains like Allya, because that would be an insult to a lot of talented people who came before. So let’s just say Allya is a close second. If you want to see someone mix like an emotionless robot, go see that other guy. Allya is a DJ, yes, but first and foremost, he is an entertainer and it shows in his work. If you’ve seen him already or have heard his productions, then you probably know. If you haven’t, then give him a chance. If you’ve never heard of him, that’s okay too - you should probably come and introduce yourself; he likes meeting people! Bottom line: He’s a nice guy. He’s good at what he does. People have a strange tendency to dance around him. And if you’re reading this bio piece, it means he’s booked for this show, so somebody must like him, right?
