A Very Special 2 Hour Team Set By: UGC aka Jerry Abstract & Kristina Childs

Kristina Childs

Kristina Childs is one of the hardest working DJs in the Northwest. As well as being a guest DJ at nearly every club in Seattle, Kristina has performed in Frankfurt, Bogot, Medellin and various major US cities, sharing the stage with such notable artists as John Tejada, Joel Mull, Dan Bell, Speedy J, Thomas Fehlmann, Alex Under, Kevin Saunderson and Alex Smoke (to name a few). She has held over 8 residencies since picking up her first record in 1999. She holds the title of Battle of the Mega-Mixes Champion for 2007 and 2008.

Currently, Childs is a resident of Krakt, runs Plasmodium and as a founding director, played an integral role in building Seattle's famous Decibel Festival. Her diligence in the Seattle scene has made her a popular Northwest DJ, combining excellent track selection and mixing skill with the energy and charisma it takes behind the decks to get dancefloors moving.

Childs is known primarily as a techno DJ, however you can hear her play everything from ambient to hip-hop, electro, disco, 80's or funk, depending on the venue. During the day you will find her neck-deep in graphic design, web design & print production for clients like Mackie, Backline Media, Publicis West and Laptop Battle.

TRAVIS BARON

Knightriders | Static Guide

Travis Baron has been producing events and banging out hard techno for over a decade, much to the delight of the techno-heads who crawl the streets of Seattle. Co-founder of Battle of the Mega Mixes, and Static Guide, as well as the Knight Riders music collective, Travis B is a needed fixture of the Seattle electronic music scene for his fat beats as well as for the sick parties and dance nights he throws. The energy radiating from the dance floor always goes up a notch when Travis steps up to the decks; you can feel it vibrating up from the soles of your feet all the way to your brain where it takes up a reverberating residence. Having played alongside techno superfreaks Kevin Saunderson, Neil Landstrom, Cari Lekebusch, Adam X and Frankie Bones,Travis Baron knows his shit and will continue to light fires and ignite dance floors in the Seattle techno culture. Review by: Catherine Jade
"Closing out the night was Travis Baron (Knight Riders), who played a set covered in grime and distortion. Screeching synth lines and
big-room beats kept the energy up, while deep sub bass added another rhythmic layer. The selection was just right to keep the afterhours vibe going."
