By noobs for noobs

noobs helping noobs to not be such noobs and by doing so become less noobs themselves.

Goal: achieve self-awareness of such noobish behavior such as posting in the noobs section of this site (but were going to ignore that for now because we've got more serious and pressing issues at hand).

First of all, you may already be aware that you're a noob but that doesn't mean you actually how big of a noob you are until you wind up spending some time learning a lesson. This lesson can range from mild to extreme but the point is that you learned something. By learning something you become less of a noob. Make sense?

Healthy guidelines:
show humility and respect for what's going on here. People have been around much longer than you and have invested much more time and money into the scene to give you the parties and music that you may or may not take for granted.

Ask questions.
Try not to be stupid after learning what stupidity is.
Look stuff up BEFORE you take it. If you're into that sort of thing. May sound obvious but it is truly imperative that you know what you're getting into. Some mistakes are simple lessons learned while others may mean life or death.

Ask yourself "why am I here?"
Once you've figured that out find out what you can do to make this a better place.

Don't be ashamed of your noobishness. Don't even try to hide it. Make it your friend and then be sure to pass on your noob lessons on to other people so at least you can say "told ya so" and then hopefully share a laugh after the misery of being a noob has passed. :-)

If you don't learn anything then its only going to happen again until it finally gets beaten into your thick know-it-all skull. Then suddenly you'll be sitting there thinking "god I'm a fucking noob" - this is a good thing though because it means a lesson might actually be starting to sink in.

This was written because its 7am and all I can do now is reflect upon the stupidity of the night before. Kind of like those nights where you're hugging the toilet swearing you'll never drink again only to wake up and do the damn thing the next weekend.

Here's a good one - if you feel like nwtekno (or any social site that could lead to embarrassment) is repeatedly asking you to login and you view this as a challenge to overcome then maybe you should stop and think "is it a good idea to post right now." The logins may be giving you that chance.

Or you could just click the remember me box. Unless you like to live dangerrangerously. Challenge accepted.

God I am a fucking noob sometimes. Sleep isn't happening so I've decided that this place will be an area for me to make a complete ass of myself say dumb shit and whatever. I'll probably regret this (tomorrow?) but that's never stopped me before.

So is there a way I can change the name of this thread to "by DangerRanger for DangerRangers"? Cuz there's a lil danger inside all of us that still cooly says "fuck it" in our heads right before we're about to do something we know is stupid.

Like this whole thread for instance, it's pretty embarrassing but I went ahead and said "fuck it" - which gives me another idea. Don't worry guys my phone will die soon. Thx to those who chose the ignore button.

of course you can, nOOb.
for some time after your initial post, you can enter edit and then click "go advanced". from there you can edit/change the thread title.
after some period of time, that option becomes unavailable.
i'd tell you how long a period of time that is, but i'm too much a nOOb to be exactly certain.

let's just say if you are unable to carry out aforementioned command, said time period has passed.
