He is working with Oneletronic, a company making sound libraries for cinema and TV, in collaboration with other artists like John Digweed, Oliver Lieb, Nick Warren and Sasha. As co-founder of the Oracle Gatherings, he is bringing a new paradigm in a growing dance community by integrating with the Northwest’s mythical undercurrent. All this has helped inspire the release of his all original progressive and downtempo CD, "Reach Within". http://www.osirisindriya.com/

J Garcia - Within the qualities of an auditory presentation exists the practice of listening so that one can participate with harmony and balance . J Garcia listens to live music and offers a parallel visual representation to concert audiences through the exhibition of the spontaneous application of paint to a surface. One of the original painters on the live music scene, Garcia has painted on stages around the world. Often approaching a performance with an established foundation Garcia facilitates communication with others by erasing distance between musician and audience. Through the use of an essential language of patterned symbols and the animation of an established hierarchy of site specific color Garcia continues to dedicate his endeavors towards the involvement of public art. Recently he has been painting private commission studio pieces, preparing for future exhibitions and performances with various musicians. J Garcia paints in the studio, on public and private walls, and on stage with musicians to further his experiences that embody a process of deepening his internal awareness, sensation and cognitive consciousness as a way of understanding how all the dimensions of the emotional, spiritual, and physical intersect by serving as a channel in the pursuit of higher consciousness. http://www.jgarcialive.com

Jay Mason, a self-taught artist, first began drawing at age 5. During kindergarten, his teacher explained the moving parts of the human eye. She did so by sketching each part. This resonated with Mason; and this experience facilitated his understanding of the power of the visual and its translation into concrete, theoretical, and abstract ideas. Mason traveled to Europe where he studied independently. He spent his days sketching, painting, and studying the works of the masters, with particular close examination of Van Gogh's work at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Mason’s work is big and powerful and ranges from exciting night cityscapes, to portraits of friends, imagined monsters and figure studies. His use of color is inventive and intense, and his paint strokes are bold and almost native in their expression of emotion. A precise eye, Mason is devoting time to perfecting his craft as a painter by spending as much time as possible in his Seattle studio. He frequently collaborates and supports the local arts community and is a prime catalyst in promoting and preserving the underground art scene via organized industry events around the greater Seattle region. http://www.jaymasonart.com/

Mermak AKA Meredith Dittmar was born outside of Boston Mass. A self taught artist – she first started sculpting at UMass while trying to avoid getting her computer science degree. After graduating and several years pursuing the backcountry on her snowboard she worked as an interactive designer/programmer – her digital works having been shown in international film festivals, exhibits and magazines She has since put the digital realm on the backburner to pursue 3dimensional passions. Over ten thousand completely UNIQUE “guys” have been created and sold or gifted in the last 10 years. Along with her 3d “doodles” she creates more elaborate characters in larger hung environments inspired by nature, the subconscious, and the various diverse music scenes and subcultures she has participated in over the years. Meredith currently lives, explores the outdoors, and creates in Portland Oregon with her husband Randy, dog Oscar and crew of amazing peeps. http://www.corporatepig.com/

Uniting Souls Animal House:

Rithma (Om Records, Tweekin', Terraform, Uniting Souls Music - Los Angeles) With over 30 releases on various labels under his belt, Rithma is currently working on his upcoming 2nd full-length album for SF's legendary Om label. Rithma is undoubtedbly one of the most talented artists in dance music today, incorporating his own live vocal and instrumentation into his tracks, including keyboards, guitar, bass, drums & percussion. Help us welcome Rithma as he joins us to mark his forthcoming release on Uniting Souls! http://www.rithma.org/

Gabriel Alexander (Empire Music Werks, Uniting Souls - Miami) LIVE SET! is one of the most talented faces to hit the dance scene. Best described for his deep, dirty, electro sound, his unsullied outlook on the dance floor is not only refreshing but also gripping. Born and raised in Miami, FL, Gabriel has been exposed to every imaginable style of music, from rock to new wave to hip-hop to classical. He was introduced to the dynamic force of dance music towards the mid to late nineties, attending mainstream events such as Winter Music Conference and Ultra, and as alternative as warehouse parties and moon valley raves. He landed a residency at Purdy Lounge, a prominent club in South Beach, sharing the decks with such DJ/Producers as Matthew Dekay, Austin Leeds, Johnny Fiasco, Steve Gerrard, and Bill Patrick, while simultaneously earning a degree in Music Business. His passion for music drove him to the position of Events Project Coordinator for the 20th Anniversary of the Winter Music Conference. It is 2006 and Gabriel has lived the life the no other might even begin to comprehend. He is here with a purpose and a goal: to make people dance! http://www.gabrielalexander.com

Manoj (Jedeye, your.mom - PDX) Genuinely inspired by and simultaneously influencing the NW tribal dance culture, Manoj surfaced in 1991 as a dancer spearheading a multitude of renowned gatherings in Portland and Eugene spanning well over a decade. While investigating the transformational synergy of intention, creativity, art and community through these gatherings, Manoj was naturally drawn to the decks in 1997 as the next vehicle of expression and investigation. Believing in the healing powers of music and dance and drawing from his personal relationship with the dancefloor, Manoj’s sets are infused with tough rhythms while conveying the deepest vibes. Now embracing the infinite and expansive potential available for djs through the digital music revolution, there is no way to define his musical style… he has simply been unleashed.

Ramiro (Uniting Souls – SEA) A native of Bluefields, Nicaragua, Ramiro was exposed to multi-cultural music from an early age, from Caribbean soca, reggae, and dance hall to Latin music such as salsa and merengue. At 12, his family moved to New Orleans, where jazz, blues, and funk permeated the region's rich music culture. During his early college years in San Francisco, Ramiro converged upon the electronic music scene that exploded in the Bay Area in the early 90s. From the Wicked Full Moons to Come-Unity, Stompy Stomp, and the legendary Sunset outdoor parties. With the support of friends, Ramiro began producing his own events to showcase the talents of many local artists and musicians, and thus, Uniting Souls was born. Now a resident of Seattle, Ramiro continues to work towards fostering a creative, nurturing environment ripe for artistic expression, spearheading the newly-launched record label Uniting Souls Music. http://www.unitingsouls.com

Mat Anderson (Not Boyfriend Material, Uniting Souls, Deepfunk Records - SEA) LIVE SET! is a house music producer and DJ whose profile is still on the rise. His productions and DJ sets carry enough thump to get even the most discerning dancefloors moving, while communicating his quirky sense of humor and fun-loving attitude. Mat's house music influences came from various players in the Seattle scene, such as vinylized, the Smartbeat crew, the Lish, Artificial Limb, and Eyedrop. In 2003, he wrote the tracks that would later form the "Flammable EP," released in 2006 on Uniting Souls. The title track was an ode to the longest house music night on the West Coast, Seattle's Flammable. Mat's attention has been focused on adopting his various productions to a live set format, a move he feels will better allow him to express himself in his performances. Mat Anderson's latest release is his contribution to Blacksoul's upcoming "Original Sinner" on Deepfunk Records. http://myspace.com/imnotboyfriendmaterial

Packy (Uniting Souls, Innerflight - SEA) http://www.innerflight.com/

She has found an amalgamation of these sounds in her specialty, breakcore. She has played all across the U.S. and in Canada. In Seattle she has held dozens of residencies, hosted online radio shows, produced numerous events and inspired a new generation of djs and dancers. Her latest accomplishment is making the #33 spot on the international list of Top 100 Female DJs (Shejay.net) Always endeavoring to present something unexpected and play tracks that are new to the audience has set her apart, constantly re-creating her own unique style.

Doc Schmikyl (Onsetdnb - SEA) AKA Josh Vincent hails from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The doc started mixin' jungle in 1997. He’s DJd at parties around the country, along with the growing crew of SA jungalists such as Korrupt and Guyver (Magna Karta). Doc Schmikyl plays out regularly, a firm part of Seattle DnB DJ circuit. A member of ONSET, working with the crew to run one of Seattles longest running DnB club nights, ONSET (3 years Jan 05!). ONSET, collaborating with other crews and labels such as Bassline Agency, are bringing top class DnB talent from within the US as well as top international talent, such as recent shows with headliners such as Klute, Evol Intent, Infiltrata, Raiden, Basic Ops etc. You can listen to his mixes at http://www.myspace.com/docschmikyl

Hesitait (Jungle. One, Uniting Souls - PDX) got turned onto the electronic music scene 6 years ago and proceeded to immerse himself in the Seattle drum and bass scene. He has been a Booking agent and Event Director for Uniting Souls and Jungle. One, which he founded in 2003 with Dj's Rama, Decim8, and Swes. Currently living in PDX, when he rocks the dance floor his crates run deep and can go from deep rolling UK chart toppers to dark technical neuro funk depending on his mood and the crowd. http://www.myspace.com/hesitait

Sonny Chiba (Positive Charge, Beat Affinity – SEA) Born into a musical family, Martin Fischer aka Sonny Chiba, has been performing and composing music since age 12. Originally a bass player, Martin was first introduced to electronic music via Nine Inch Nails and other industrial bands. This lead to producing electronic music at age 16 using his school's antiquated Atari MIDI computer. Ten years later Sonny Chiba has become a respected DJ in Seattle, known for his diverse repertoir, and drive to move the crowd. An avid Breaks DJ and producer, Sonny has collaborated on releases with local luminaries Vize, Soulkid, and Kreeper, as well as numerous solo productions. His most recent mix R.I.P., which is dedicated to those murdered in the Capitol Hill Shootings last March, is available for download at http://www.myspace.com/djsc.

Default Performances by:

Pure Cirkus was born in 2003 as a Seattle-based body art theatre group called P.U.R.E. (People Undergoing Real Experiences). For two years the group performed only within the small community of body modification and suspension, keeping to nightclubs and private events. In the summer of 2005, as they began combining both circus talents and body modification, the group realized that they had something far larger then they had ever imagined. On Oct 28th, almost overnight, the group called P.U.R.E was transformed into PURE Cirkus and performed for the first time under their new name. By pulling together talented performers from all over the country they push the limits of the human mind and body by combining circus performance with Tribal theatre. They have embraced all forms of entertainers such as jugglers, clowns, sideshow freaks, fire, suspension and piercing enthusiasts, dancers, acrobats, aerialists, musicians and other circus and cabaret artists that have come together to build what will be a lasting circus that will entertain people for generations. http://www.purecirkus.com/

Decibel Minimal Dinosaur:

Berg Nixon a.k.a. Ryan Crosson (M-nus / Trapez / Telegraph Records – Detroit) LIVE SET! was born and raised in Metro-Detroit. After strictly DJing for a few years, he took the next logical step by beginning to produce his own music in Fall 2003. Drawing from artists like Plastikman, Matthew Dear, Stewart Walker, and a heavy dose of Magda DJ sets, Ryan focused his attention on percussive programming, dubby basslines, and dark atmospheres. By expressing a tireless work ethic in the studio, Ryan was soon noticed for his efforts by local Detroit label, Beretta Music. Not long after this, Ryan signed music to Cologne based label Trapez Limited just one year after he began writing music. The EP release on Trapez LTD. titled, "Say So " was well received with many positive reviews from a plethora of international artists. In between the signing and release of his first record, Ryan also put together a 4 track mp3 EP for the Montreal based Archipel Net-Label. His music has also appeared on two various artist compilations for TicTacToe records and Year of the Machine recordings. In the Summer of 2005, Ryan played his first international dates with impressive live performances in Berlin, and Cologne. Talented and driven, this young Detroit native is making an impact internationally with his music. http://www.ryancrosson.com

Geoff White (Ghostly - Spain) LIVE SET! As one of America's premier techno producers, Geoff White has amassed a catalogue of distinguished releases on labels such as Force Inc., Traum, Proptronix, Morris Audio, Cytrax and his own Edit Audio, most recently making the move to Ghostly International (where he explores guitar textures under his Aeroc moniker) and Spectral Sound (where he creates jacking dance tracks with live instruments under his birth name). A native of Columbus, OH, White recently relocated to Barcelona to continue his work in music. His first full-length album, Questions and Comments, was released on Force Inc. in 2001. The formation of the Edit Audio label followed shortly thereafter, with an emphasis on modern production techniques as well as dancefloor beats. In 2003, Geoff paired with Stewart Walker to produce the album Discord, released music under the alias Jackstone, and made an EP with Swiss duo Dialogue. White now turns to Spectral for a series of micro-house EPs, which began with the icy Ince (2004) and continued with Etsche (2005). http://www.ghostly.com

Nordic Soul (Decibel/Dreaming in Stereo/K Records/Buttermilk - SEA) is the solo moniker of Decibel Festival brainchild Sean Horton (Db founder, director and curator). More that just a moniker, the name “Nordic Soul” describes Horton’s production aesthetic, which fuses the soulful sounds of Detroit’s urban landscape (Horton’s upbringing) with the ethereal textures and melodies associated with Northern Europe (Horton’s heritage). Nordic Soul’s solo releases, remixes and collaborations range from instrumental hip hop to deep techno and often pay homage to multiple genres within a single track. Horton’s vast array of influence spawns from almost 20 years as a musician (guitar, bass, keyboards) and 15 years as a DJ and avid music collector. Since Nordic Soul’s inception in 2003 he has shared the stage with a diverse selection of talent including; Bassnectar, Funkstroung, Lusine, T. Raumschmiere, Luomo, New Breed, Boom Bip, Richard Devine, Blue Scholars, Outhud, Phonecia, Electric Birds, Proem, Four Tet, Matthew Dear and Derrick May to name a few. As a performer Nordic Soul brings charisma and energy to the stage and has played an instrumental role in Seattle’s infamous Fourthcity Laptop Battles as both a performer and co-promoter. Horton also performs with the laptop synth-pop quartet “Synth Club” (featuring Reggie Watts on vocals) and the soulful house quintet “Loveslap” (featuring KJ Sawka on drums). http://www.dbfestival.com

Kristina Childs (Plasmodium/Krakt/Decibel – SEA) "The first time I heard this music, I knew I wanted to play it," says Kristina Childs. Starting in 1999 with a mixture of funky house, techno and drum & bass, Childs quickly evolved her style into the eclectic mix of genres she has brought to clubs and parties around the world. As well as being a guest DJ at many clubs in and around Seattle, she has played in Frankfurt, Bogotá, Medellin, Dallas, New York, Portland, and Coeur D’Alene. She has held residencies at Seattle clubs Contour, Habana's, Art Bar, See Sound Lounge, and is a current resident of Tost Lounge, Deep House Originals, and Seattle’s infamous techno monthly, aptly named Krakt. She runs Plasmodium Radio and is the Sponsorship Coordinator for Decibel Festival. Lately she has found a renewed vision and drive to expand her skills into production. "I still love everything about playing records, and I doubt I’ll ever stop," she says, "but now I want to share my own music. Her spare time has been spent in the studio, refining her sound and collaborating with other northwest artists. Her debut was last year in the form of a vocal appearance on the Take compilation. http://www.kristinachilds.com

Jerry Abstract (Decibel/Fixelplix/Shitkatapult Records – SEA) has come into his own this year with a DJ set in Portland that overshadowed Ellen Allien’s, appearances at Detroit’s Fuse-In fest, and releases for Germany's Shitkatapult Records. For that company, Abstract generates brilliant slabs of knarz-techno, which sounds like a motorboat speeding through molasses—very rigorously. When he DJs as a resident at Krakt or elsewhere, Abstract delivers radical techno and electro bangers that know no other mode than peak.

Thumbs up

Hot good God-DAMN! I've been waiting for this for longer than I care to admit. I'll be there, and I'll be telling everyone who'll listen (and even those who won't) that they should be there.

Let the anticipation commence.

ETA: And why am I squeeing so much about this? Because I was at Kinetic. That party kicked ass in every respect.
