DAEDELUS
Caught between myth and reality, past and future, Daedelus produces sonic mazes from a studio deep within Santa Monica, California. Crafting waxen wings from his background in live instruments, a young Daedelus began noodling bass clarinet notes, and soon graduated into the covenant of double-bass. After an ill-fated affair pondering classical and jazz, rave paved the way, and a burgeoning record collection fueled Daedelus’ artistic creativity, preparing the path to his first full length release, Invention. Inspired by 30’s, 40’s and 70’s grooves, and defying genres such as downtempo and hip-hop, Daedelus gradually begins to venture into the L.A. afterdark.
The music on "Invention" combines multiple instruments, including non-traditional ones such as computer printers, toy pianos, and the techno harp known as the Omnichord. Daedelus invites local MC talents Busdriver and Sach to flow over the masterful bonus versions of "Quiet Now" and "Pursed Lips Reply." Invention unfolds in dynamic ranges of emotion. Open your ears to Daedelus’ world of musical tinkering and you’ll be walking faster, seeing clearer, and feeling deeper.
Daedelus is also preparing to release an e.p. working-titled "Melody Intro" on Scott Herren’s Eastern Developments imprint and producing the next "The Weather" album for Mush Recordings. Daedelus is now found pouring lighter fluid on the turntables at dublab.com, fretting endlessly over his live set, and generally thinking in threes and fours

CAARAL
Caural is Zachary Mastoon, a multi-instrumentalist and producer originally from Chicago. Musically "born" in the basement at age 6 with his best friend and neighbor Stuart Bogie (currently a saxophonist for the Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra), he's written and performed music throughout his life in both Transmission (now based in San Francisco), and the group who became the backing band for fellow Chocolate Industries' emcee Diverse.
After studying jazz guitar and improvisation with Anthony Braxton at Wesleyan University, Indonesian Gamelan and Southeast Asian music aboard the Semester At Sea program and experimental electronic music at NYU, Caural briefly returned to Chicago in 2000. His debut CD, "Initial Experiments In 3-D" was released on NY's boutique label Toshoklabs (now available on iTunes), and was followed by two EPs and a critically-acclaimed full-length for Chocolate Industries, "Stars On My Ceiling."
Now back in NY, Caural has finished remixes for artists on Plug Research, Sound In Color, Buttermilk, Delic (Japan), Consumers Research & Development, Level Plane, Audraglint, Subtractive, Organik Rekordings, Lens Records and Chocolate Industries. He has been lucky to DJ or perform live with such contemporaries as James Lavelle, Prefuse 73, King Britt, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Dntel, Edition Terranova, Daedelus & John Tejada. Recently, Caural teamed up with Los Angeles-based emcee Busdriver to develop a live set and, after a successful initial tour opening for Aceyalone and RJD2, has been happy to continue accompanying his exciting live performances.
Caural just recently finished his new full-length for Mush Records entitled Mirrors for Eyes, which will be released 10.9.2006. Keep an eye out for the release of his side project, Boy King Islands, in 2007

THAVIUS BECK
Tossed asunder from the ice cold heart of Minneapolis, a young man with an old beard stepped off of a greyhound onto Los Angeles soil. This was the beginning of the middle for Thavius Beck, a saxophonist/bassist with a sampler, who later morphed into the beatmaking behemoth that sits before your monitor. 10 years, 2 groups, and 10 solo records later (not to mention group releases from Global Phlowtations and Labwaste, as well as production for Saul Williams, Busdriver, Subtitle, a couple film scores, a Miller beer commercial, a mysterious remix with Nas, and music placement in the Suicide Girls DVD), he's still not rich. But his passport has alot of stamps, and he can say from experience that Oslo is amazing in August. Current projects include: 'THRU' released on Mush Records, the official release of 'International Beats' on Net31 Records (24 tracks and over 70 minutes of depraved madness), working with Trent Reznor and CX Kidtronik on production for Saul Williams new album, a 2 week US tour in Mid-October with Daedelus and Caural, as well as other esoteric musical endeavors.

TRUCKASAURAS
is Ryan Trudell ,Adam Swan, and Tyler Swan of fourthCity legends
Foscil. in this guise, they are pull out their Gameboys and Midi patching them together with real time use of vintage gear like TB303s, Roland beat boxes and analogue synths to create a fun stew of electro and melodicaly squelchy tones and dance rythms. Complimenting their unique sound is a video montage of WWF wrestling loops depicting not- so- subtle homo-erotic imagry overlaid with Monster Truck footage and other found images and loops. Extremely entertaining and hillarious; but don't be fooled by their humor--these boys have a knack for intricate detail and nuance, that one would not expect from such a playfull demonstration.
