Featuring sets from;
George Holland
George Holland recently re-emerged as one of the top techno talents in the PDX scene and has thoroughly rocked a series of events including the Ritchie Hawtin show at Holocene. In years past George played all over the west coast including events at the legendary Spundae in SF and innumerable warehouse parties. His lightning fast mixing, liberal EQ work and pounding beats make George a consistent crowd favorite. Those that have seen George do his thing in recent months know that he is a force to be reckoned with, and undoubtedly one of the best techno djs the west coast has to offer. We can't wait to see what he has in store for this night.
Lil Roj vs. Vixen- Techno/Tech-House/Minimal
Lil Roj has been dropping the choicest techno, funkiest house and breakiest break beats for over 13 years. Starting in the New Orleans Underground and later playing major events in Houston and throughout the Gulf Coast, Roj built his reputation with his clean mixes, good energy and dirty funky ass beats. True to form, his current style of glitchy house and funky techno bring a level of creativity, experimentalism and energy that is sure to stimulate your senses. Look forward to hearing some of Roj's original productions and remixes including his recent SubSensory debut remix "Relax," now available on beatport.com.
Whether performing at parties or clubs Miss Vixen delivers the goods with her blend of dirty, glitchy, bass-heavy techno and tech-house. Influences include Dominik Eulberg, Adam Beyer and Speedy J. With an excellent track selection, programming, and energy behind the decks Vixen is sure to get bodies moving; and she has done just that with recent sets at NW clubs and events such as Stompin In Da Woods, Kulturezene, and others.
Nathan Detroit vs. Jack Coleman (aka JAK)- Techno/Tech-House/Electro
JAK has been a part of the PDX techno sound for nearly 13 years. His slick mixing, energetic performances and unique sound have earned him headlining slots at major events in Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, and more recently in cities throughout Chile. JAK's diverse Techno sets are filled with funk, minimalism, latin, electro, tribal, and house, an eclectic selection that guarantees never a dull moment. More recently his original tracks on SubSensory have begun to find their ways in to the selections of djs around the world. You can also find Jak’s tracks on Hardplace Records, Loopfreaks Black and Backs/ash Records.
Nathan Detroit, resident Dj at Portland Radio Authority's Disco Biscuits radio, has been performing at underground parties, clubs and in grimy basements since the mid 90s. Nate's sets are anything but cookie-cutter and he has been known to mix Michael Jackson or Prince with the likes of Justice, Hot Chip and Daft Punk, not to mention an affinity for minimal techno and house beats. Nate recently opened for Miss Kitten & The Hacker, and played alongside JAK at a several major summer events in Vina Del Mar and Valparaiso Chile.
After playing side by side throughout Chile's VI region at some of the areas hottest clubs and parties, Jak and Nathan discovered that their unique blend of techno, tech-house, electro, disco and funk led to absolute mayhem on the dance floor. Their chemistry and the diverse musical selection ensure never a dull moment. Expect nothing but the funkiest dance floor selection.
